Our whole families have been this place for more than 5 years. We had great experiences here to get our hair done. They are very friendly and professional. Their price probably is the cheapest in all Salons in the US.

I can't speak to their other services, so I'll base my review solely on the hair services. I've always been a bit picky about who does my hair and I've gone to so many different places over the years, from hole-in-the-wall places that don't speak English (not just Asian places, either), to prestigious places in the city that charge an arm and a leg for a wash and cut. After all these years, I always end up back at Helen Beauty Salon. I've been going to them since 2009 - they are a no frills hair salon. I've had my hair washed, cut, bleached, toned, permed, and styled here. Their prices are very reasonable as I have thick hair, and they don't charge an extra limb for my extra long length (usually to my waist). Their prices for their services are probably some of the cheapest I've ever paid across Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. The stylists here are quick and efficient, and always listen to my instructions. They do not decide that they are the know all of hair, and just do whatever they please, against everything you've requested (you'd be surprised how many times I've had to go through this at other places). They offer very realistic, manageable solutions to my requests. They also offer great advice if I'm having a moment of uncertainty, and always use quality products. They offer little to no conversation, especially if you don't speak their language. But from what I've seen and experienced, they are always friendly with me. If you're looking to be pampered over hours and have a soul-baring conversation, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a solid, no frills hair salon to maintain your hair or even change up your do, I highly recommend this spot. I haven't had a bad experience yet.

I visited this place few times for Hair cut and shampoo. But they charged different cost every visit.

Worst experience ever, they cut too much and messed up my hair. The barber was rude. They were also blasting TikTok and we're unprofessional.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. My haircut wasn’t even. One side is longer than the other (like a whole inch longer). Additionally, the place is unsanitary. They don’t clean scissors and hair clips between customers.
