Steve was our photographer for our wedding a couple of weeks ago. Upon our first meeting, you could tell how detail-oriented and passionate he was about making our day special. Throughout the process, he was attentive and always answered our questions promptly! He has so many elements throughout the process that truly make you feel special. On the wedding day, I was so impressed with how he was able to get all the discussed photos with family members done swiftly and on time. He had great creative direction and was able to pivot when previously discussed shots were unattainable due to the weather. I can not recommend Heritage House enough! The whole team is so talented!

Working with Stephen was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the moment we met him at a bridal & wedding expo, we were immediately drawn to his professionalism, passion, and genuine personality. He wasn’t pushy or salesy - just someone who clearly loves what he does and wants couples to have an amazing experience. It was clear right away that Stephen was someone we could trust with such an important part of our day, and choosing him felt like the easiest and most natural decision. Throughout the planning process, Stephen was incredibly communicative and transparent. He was one of our most responsive vendors - always quick to reply or letting us know if he’d get back to us later if he was at an event or traveling. That level of professionalism and reliability gave us so much confidence and made working with him feel effortless. Beyond his organization, Stephen has a way of making couples feel completely at ease in front of the camera. My husband and I don’t usually feel natural being photographed, but Stephen made it easy and even fun. He guided us gently, offered prompts and little tricks to help us relax and create movement, and often showed us previews along the way to make sure we were happy with how things were looking. You could tell he truly wants his couples to feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. On our wedding day, Stephen and his second photographer, Danielle, were absolutely amazing! We had a tight timeline with a lot of photos and events packed in, but they managed everything seamlessly - keeping things on schedule while maintaining such a calm, positive energy. Also, they were great with our families, so patient with the kids, and made the entire experience fun yet perfectly professional. Our guests and wedding party couldn’t stop commenting on how organized and friendly they were, and how they seemed to be everywhere capturing every moment. Stephen also brought some really thoughtful touches that made our day feel even more special. He set up an iPad at the bar showing sneak peeks from the day, which our guests loved, and experimented with new photo technology that sent pictures directly to guests’ phones - everyone thought it was the coolest thing! And at the end of the night, he surprised us with a beautiful mini album of highlight shots from the day. We were blown away that he and his team managed to pull that together so quickly, and when we showed it to our family the next day, everyone was so impressed by both the thoughtfulness and the quality of the images. It’s such a keepsake we’ll treasure forever! In summary, Stephen doesn’t just take beautiful photos - he creates an experience that’s personal, stress-free, and memorable. His passion, talent, and genuine care for his couples shine through in everything he does. We’re so grateful we chose Heritage House, and we can’t recommend Stephen enough to anyone looking for a photographer who’s not only incredibly skilled but also an absolute joy to work with.

Stephen was amazing! He was an absolute pleasure to work with through the entire process! He was supportive, knowledgeable, patient, efficient, kind, and so talented!! There are so many little touches he adds that really contribute to the overall experience !!! I wont list them here as to not ruin the surprises he has in store for future couples he works with- but above and beyond doesn’t begin to describe it. My family is not easy to please or wrangle and they all couldn’t have been more impressed either! Perfect balance of “on top of every detail” and a “laid back/ stress free vibe”. If you are thinking about it, just do it- Stephen Mayo at Heritage House was such a good decision in our wedding planning!!

We cannot recommend Stephen Mayo and Heritage House Wedding Photography ENOUGH! My husband and I just had our wedding this past weekend and the experience with Stephen and his photography team has been an absolute highlight. Just a few words I can think of that describe Stephen and his team: - Meticulous - Reliable - Trustworthy - Supportive - Overachieving - Professional - Caring Our process began about a year ago when a friend of ours recommended Stephen. We had an initial meeting with him and was immediately sold. He had a very organized approach to what services he could provide and explained it all in a very simple and consumable way. He also exuded care and attention at every step, wanting to get to know us, our story, our expectations, and then remembered all of them for the entire duration of our time together. We had an engagement shoot with him soon after. We fell in love with his aesthetic. Working with him is so easy. He gives great pose suggestions, directs well, and makes the session a very collaborative feeling experience. His eye and composition is also just top notch. Between the engagement shoot and the wedding, Stephen did a great job of keeping regular touchpoints. Before the wedding we organized family portraits for the day of and he was able to mock up a thorough and detailed schedule that gave us confidence that he’d keep the day running smoothly. During the day, he was so calm and helpful. He helped keep all of the portrait sessions moving smoothly and then also came up with a bunch of creative ideas for photos throughout the night. By halfway through the night, he had set up iPads with photo slideshows of some shots from the earlier session for our guests to see and by the time we left at night we received a personalized photo album with prints of some of his favorite shots already - you heard right, PRINTS by the end of the night! We’re just now starting to go through photos from the day and they are looking amazing. I can’t recommend Heritage House enough - please please book them for your event!

Words cannot describe the unimaginable experience we had with Stephen and his team. From day one, Stephen has been a consummate professional and is incredibly meticulous and detail oriented. We signed our contract in February and we were in constant communication. In May, he took our engagement photos at Sugarberry bakery and the Planting Fields in Oyster Bay and they were nothing short of exceptional. He was so easy to work with and we are in love with our photos. Our big day came on October 11th and Stephen was sure to capture every special moment of our day. Our family and guests were so impressed by Stephen and his thoroughness and professionalism. Stephen and his team worked diligently all day and night and we have no doubt our wedding photos will be stellar. Towards the end of the night, Stephen presented us with an album, a sneak peek at some of our photos. They were beautiful and just made our experience that much more meaningful. Not only is Stephen’s photos beautiful but he has a heart of gold. He was generous enough to send us a gift card to where we were getting married (Tellers Chophouse) and Kodak Polaroids to use the night of. He’s so down to earth and so hardworking that it felt like we were working with one of our friends. If you’re thinking about booking him the answer is YES! Pictures last forever and we both agreed that when we’re looking back at these moments we will be able to relive this day through his work. We both can’t thank him enough for all of his hard work and effort into making this time in our lives so much more special.
