My go-to matcha spot for get that matcha fix, great quality drinks and has the matcha flavor unlike many other places. The matcha jelly in the triple supreme matcha latte is my new favorite (can't go wrong with the coconut milk jelly either) The service is like any other mobile order type place, but during promotions like BOGO, they app is always out of service. The stores themselves give a very open concept and clean feel, the all white design looks nice
Stopped by Hey Tea in Chinatown and was really impressed. The space is clean and modern, and the ordering process was pretty smooth even though it was busy. You can tell they take their tea seriously everything tasted fresh and not overly sweet. The bubble tea had a really nice balance, and the boba was soft and perfectly chewy, not hard in the center like some places. The fruit flavors taste real, not artificial, which makes a big difference. Presentation was nice too. Definitely a solid spot if you’re in Chinatown and craving bubble tea. I’d come back again.
Great place to go for bubble tea! But their best item is the Mango Grapefruit and the Coconut Mango Boom! I’ve tried both and can’t decide which one I like better. Can’t go wrong with both :). Interior is nice, parking with sidesteeet metered parking. A bit on the pricey end.
Refreshing Stop – Room for Improvement, But Worth a Second Try Stopped by for a quick drink after lunch and decided to try their Regular Crisp Grape Bloom. The drink was definitely refreshing and light, perfect for a post-meal cool-down. However, I found the flavor to be a bit too subtle for my liking, it tasted somewhat watered down, and I was hoping for a stronger grape presence. It could have just been a one-off inconsistency, so I’m not writing it off entirely. I’d be open to trying another flavor next time to see how it compares. The menu is pretty extensive and creative, which is one of the reasons I came in the first place. On the plus side, the service was quick and efficient, even though the place was quite packed, which seems to be the norm here. Despite the crowd, the staff managed things well and the space felt clean and organized. Overall, while the drink wasn’t quite what I expected this time, Hey Tea still shows promise. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their offerings.
I was excited to finally try Hey Tea since I had heard so much about their drinks, but honestly my experience left a lot to be desired. The very first thing I noticed when I walked in was the smell it genuinely reeked of sewage. That kind of odor is impossible to ignore and really sets a negative tone before you even place your order. For a place that prides itself on presentation and atmosphere, the smell alone made it difficult to enjoy the visit. On the plus side, the drinks themselves weren’t bad. I ordered one of their specialty teas and the flavor was decent, definitely better than your average boba shop. The texture of the toppings was also done well, so it’s clear the drinks are at least crafted with some care. If it was just about the drinks, I could see myself rating this spot higher. Another major issue, though, is that they don’t provide bathrooms for customers. For a place that sells large drinks and expects people to hang around for a bit, not having restroom access is really inconvenient. Between the lack of basic amenities and the terrible odor inside, the experience felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Overall, Hey Tea has decent drinks but the negatives far outweigh the positives. A strong sewage smell and no bathrooms make it hard to recommend. If they fix those issues, I’d consider giving it another chance, but as of now I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
