Great store for Asian food and groceries! HL Supermarket is a huge store with great selection of Asian food items, groceries, and fresh produce. We shop there for all our Asian dish cooking needs. Great to have such a store in the center of Staten Island!

Okay okay definitely a Asian supermarket if you're looking for Asian groceries. They have everything. They have a very very good seafood to purchase. Add meats produce. But I am not Asian I don't speak any of the languages. I have to use my translator app on my phone . But I love to go in there.

A great Asian supermarket with fresh produce and "fresh" fish. You can find almost anything you need. It's clean, brightly lit, and the staff were friendly. The only best Asian Supermarket in Staten Island

Terrible store, especially the service in the fish department. You have to wait around 20 minutes just to get someone to help you. Employees walk by and completely ignore you unless you beg them. But if someone slips them personal money, they serve them instantly. This happened multiple times, so it’s not an accident. I do not recommend this place.

HL Supermarket’s posted business hours are 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Earlier this afternoon at 2:23 PM, I called the store specifically to confirm your Chinese New Year’s Eve hours. The person who answered the phone told me the store would operate under normal business hours: 8 AM – 8 PM. After finishing work, I drove about 20 minutes across Staten Island to shop at the store. I arrived at 7:47 PM, however I was not allowed to enter the parking lot to shop. If the store stops allowing customers in at 7:45 PM, then your official closing time is 7:45 PM, not 8:00 PM. The person who answered the phone should have clearly told me that the last entry is 7:45 PM, so I would not have wasted the trip. Please update your official hours or ensure staff provide accurate information over the phone.
