Honey Academy [Flushing | Children's Dance, Art, Music, After-school Program]

My child attended the kindergarten afterschool at Honey Academy. I was very pleased with the program. The teacher, Ms. Sanja, was very patient and caring with the children. My child’s homework was always completed correctly, she ensured he ate his food, and she always gave constructive class work to supplement learning. Communication was great with the school, thanks to Mr. Mai. The program offered pick-up services from school and I always felt at ease knowing that my child was well-cared for by the staff. They offered day camps when school was out of session for a reasonable fee. Needless to say, I will be enrolling my child there again next school year.

My kids have been attending Honey Academy for over two years, and our experience has been very positive. They truly enjoy learning piano and dance here, and we appreciate the supportive and engaging environment.

Honey Academy is one of the most exceptional summer programs I have ever met. I was thoroughly impressed with the high level of safety and security provided throughout the entire duration. The staff and workers were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making the atmosphere warm and inviting. The teachers at Honey Academy went above and beyond to support their students, offering valuable feedback and engaging with families to ensure a collaborative learning experience. I found this aspect remarkable and appreciated the open communication between the teachers and parents. I was attracted to Honey Academy by the wide variety of enrichment programs they offer, from dance and art to Muay Thai, coding, and academic classes. When I contacted Cici, she was incredibly responsive and friendly, answering all my questions thoroughly. Another staff member, Kyle, gave me a tour of the facilities, which was spacious. I decided to enroll my daughter in their ballet class the same day. The pricing is also very reasonable. — Update: When we started ballet, the class time was changed during the third week of the semester, with one day notice. Although it was only shifted 30 minutes later, it caused significant inconvenience as I had to rearrange my schedule to accommodate the new time. We specifically chose this place because of the original class time, so the change felt like a major disruption, especially since the explanation provided didn’t make sense to me (a schedule conflict with another course? We don’t see the studio being used by anyone else prior nor her teacher teaching another class there prior). Additionally, the teacher was frequently absent, and the substitute teachers varied, leading to a lack of consistency in the instruction. Lastly, the bathroom used for changing children was consistently dirty. It was uncomfortable to change my child there, but since we were coming straight from school, we didn’t have any other options. FYI: If you leave a 5 star review, they waive your registration fee.
