Horizon Dental Center Sperandio Filippo DDS

My son who is on the spectrum has visited a small amount of dentists before we found this place and finally called it our home. The reception ladies are sweet and welcoming. The dental hygienist Loreta is so kind and I felt as though she treated my son like he was family. The 2 dentists-one looks like Paul Schaffer. He is so kind and thorough. He explained everything to me and had a game plan. The other dentist, Dr. Sperandio (sp?) explained to my son each tool he was using as he was doing fillings. I was so moved to tears by all of their bedside manners with my son. I am so glad I finally found a dentists office where I feel safe for my children. I'll definitely be sending my 20-year-old daughter here. This is a great place and I highly recommend it!! Five stars across the board! Thank you all!!!

I was waiting a few days to meditate, and today I want to write what happened to me in this office. I went one day because I had a pain in two teeth. The doctors there did the procedures that need to be done for the insurance to approve the work,. They were not professional at all and they were negligent towards me, if I went with pain they should have determined that my teeth needed a root canal but since they do not do this work frequently or the insurance does not easily approve so it they only asked my insurance to approve the crown and the insurance Authorized and they proceeded to cover my tooth even though I was in pain. Months later I returned to their office that I was in pain and they ignored it and instead they asked for the crown for another tooth. Within a month of putting it in, the other crown starts to hurt more and I go for another one. I go to the office and they tell me this is root canal and they give me a referral to look for a specialist and they sent me amoxicillin . This is when my nightmare arrived. The insurance just approved root canal for me but told me that it cannot cover my crown, which in a few months they approved me and the work was done, that negligence of these Dr for only taking money from the insurance they forget about the health and well-being of the patient. With this my story ended I went to his office waiting for a solution, they treated me badly. The Dr Sperandio told me that he was going to tear up some papers that I had in my hand from the insurance and asked me to leave his office, so I had to call the police to protection from this apathetic and rude Dr Sperandio and they never gave me a solution I write this for that. People not fall like me, this place, first they only take money from their insurance and then they don't want to solve after you problems or reach an agreement with the patient and they don't give them a solution. Don't go there, the worst place, they treat you like you're stealing from them instead of They are the ones who steal money from someone's insurance, now my insurance does not approve my crowns and other dr I visit after cost $2000 dollars to do this, which I must pay due to the negligence of these specialists. I put my complaint in my insurance too

Made an appointment, and no one asked me while I was on the phone what insurance I had. I’ve been there before so I assumed they still take my insurance. Took a $20 Uber there only to be told they don’t accept my insurance now.

The Hygienist that was cleaning my teeth was rough and constantly scratching my gums making them bleed and i complained to the dentist about her and why i stopped her from continuing ehat she was doing & she was fighting insisting to finish cleaning when i told her no i wanna speak to the dentist. I told Him I been coming here for years & I never had a hygienist like this. He didn't want to hear it and said she is the best in NY state at what she does excuse & that you're alright the pain will go away like its no big deal. The Dentist is very rude will act like hes your friend but he truly is prejudiced and will only take your insurance money. His answer is always bridge or dental implants even when those teeth aren't loose knowing that my insurance doesn't pay for bridges.
