I feel the need to write them a review because i have consistently granted good care by Dr. Hua and his staff for a few years now. He has great bedside manner and explains things in a very efficient and concise way. The staff is very kind and also efficient especially facilitating records and emails. They were also very quick resolving my issues with the pharmacy or any inquiry i had along with my visits or any pother day. The office is small and in the heart of a busy Bay Parkway neighborhood. it could get busy sometimes but generally my visits are quick there.
Dr. Hua is great but his office staff is THE WORST. Unbelievably RUDE!!
Terrible experience. Completely dissatisfied. I had an appointment with this doctor today and I am extremely unhappy with the visit. From the very beginning, it felt like the doctor just wanted to finish the appointment as quickly as possible and get rid of me. The examination was extremely superficial and rushed. The doctor asked almost no questions, showed no initiative, and made no real effort to understand my symptoms. I literally had to pull every step of the examination out of him. For example: — He checked my throat only after I asked. — He looked at my nose only because I insisted. — He checked my breathing only after I requested it. — He did not plan to check my head/sinuses at all until I reminded him about my complaints. Each time an additional check was finally done, new symptoms were discovered, yet the doctor still showed no interest in going deeper or continuing a proper evaluation. Even more concerning, he started prescribing medication before performing a complete examination, which is highly unprofessional. I also want to mention his communication style: very short, dry answers that clearly felt like he just wanted to end the conversation. There was no empathy, no explanation, and no sense that he actually cared about helping. I felt like I was not a patient, but an inconvenience. If you value thorough care, professionalism, and basic human respect, I strongly do not recommend this doctor.
I hate giving bad reviews but this place is poorly run. The staff are very nice but the management should reconsider scheduling 7+ people in 1 hr. I've worked in multiple offices and they have block systems with a max of only 2 people for physicals/30min, blood work, and other fast appointments can be squeezed in here and there. They're also seen based on appointment times. If the person is on time or early for their appointment, they will be seen at the time or 15 min before their appointment if the providers have extra time. If the patient is late of course they can wait. This way people aren't waiting for over 1 hr. I came here for blood work and had to wait for an hr for the provider granted she did have to call the EMS that day so that probably prolonged the wait but I had already waited 40 min at the point of the call. Also FYI they no longer take cards for copays. Cash only.
I had a terrible experience at this clinic. The doctor prescribed me the wrong medicine and I came back again to talk to the doctor. The doctor agreed to refund me the visit charge but the lady in pink gown doing administrative work refused to do so and acted in a very rude and disrespectful way. She tried to attack me as well. I called 911 for this incident. I won't recommend anyone seeking medical help from this clinic. I'm responding to what the doctor said in the below here. The whole incident was recorded in the police report but I believe it's necessary for everyone to know the truth here and the full story. 1) My mom visited the clinic about a week ago for a prescription of the insulin pen she had been using but the doctor prescribed her the insulin vial, which was the wrong item. When we found out the mishap, I visited the doctor yesterday and told him about his mistake because we couldn't be able to use it. By that time, we have already paid more than $200 for the medicine at the pharmacy. After telling the doctor what happened, he initially acknowledge his mistake. However, he was not apologetic about his mistake and didn't offer anything to make up our financial loss or any time wasted due to his negligence. 2) I never skipped the line and the claim about me "jumped in line" was totally false. I was waiting until the lady in pink called me in. How come I "jumped in line" when she called me in for my turn? 3) His claim about me demanding him to change the medical record or to give me any syringes are totally groundless. How come I "demanded to take some syringes" if I told the front desk lady the pharmacy address for syringes pickup? Additionally, his mistake caused us much inconvenience because my mom now has to switch to syringes for insulin injection instead of the insulin pen she had been using. 4) The doctor agreed to refund me the $50 visit payment only when I asked. However, the lady in the pink gown (now we know it's his spouse!) refused to do and acted in a very rude manner. She refused my request of talking to the doctor after the visit and even made derogatory remarks about me. At one point, she even tried to attack me and took a photo of me. 5) As a last resort, I called 911 and the told the police what had happened. The police tried to talk to the doctor's spouse and asked her to refund me the money but she refused and showed her aggressiveness in front of the police as well. Doctors and other medical workers are supposed to help their patients given the nature of their profession. I never had such bad experience seeing a doctor and it was a shame to see something like this happen. I'd hope they can change their behavior going forward and you all can make your own judgement call if this is the place you trust for the sake of your health!
