IJC Martial Arts | Judo, Jiu Jitsu & Muay Thai

We love IJC! My older son started at age 4 and he’s now 6. My younger son is also now enrolled in judo. Judo has been an important element in their growth and development. We love sensei Saro, his sons, and all the other senseis. Sensei David is also excellent at working with younger and middled aged kids. Highly recommend.

Training at IJC Martial Arts has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I walked in with zero experience and wasn’t sure what to expect but in a surprisingly short amount of time I went from feeling clueless to genuinely confident in my abilities. The physical benefits have been huge but what really stands out is how much this place has helped me outside the gym too. The coaches supported me when I decided to quit smoking and they encouraged me through the rough days. They’ve given me guidance with my work helped me scale my business and offered support in any way they could. They genuinely care about every single student and it shows in everything they do. Another thing I never expected was how quickly this place would start to feel like home. The friends I’ve made here and the coaches feel like a second family. Everyone pushes each other celebrates progress and creates an atmosphere where you want to grow. I’m truly grateful I started my journey here and I recommend IJC to anyone who wants real growth a strong community and people who actually care.

Saro brings such breadth of education and training to the judo community by hosting clinics for persons who want to improve his/her performance on the mat, in refereeing or in kata. The education he shares. Is so appreciated.

Clean, courteous, but most importantly, TRADITIONAL! Most martial arts clubs have become "McDojos," but not IJC. They revere the traditional values that former judokas have been implementing since the inception of the martial art. Bottom line: it's great for kids, teens, and adults of any experience level. Simply the best Queens has to offer!

Great judo club with knowledgeable, patient coaches. Classes are well organized, supportive, and welcoming. Highly recommend!
