Local Chinese supermarket servicing Fresh Meadows and nearby neighborhoods. The interior is a bit dated and not as large as other supermarkets however, always well stocked, good prices with an ample parking lot. This is one of my go to because it’s in a quiet and safe neighborhood

IOG (island of gold) is a local Asian supermarket by Fresh Meadows. It's been open for quite some time so place looks outdated, and a little small. Aside from Chinese goods, they have some Filipino, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese (limited) and Thai (limited) goods as well. Overall,. decent place to do grocery if you're in the area. Lots of parking!

Good variety of Asian groceries including fresh seafood at an affordable price. This place is always crowded and the narrow hallway packed with boxes of produce further slows down the foot traffic. Use a basket in lieu of the cart is recommended. Staffs are overworked and pressured to move customers along especially when the store is busy.

this is the third time. molding food even when it’s frozen. it’s not even expired though? other than the mold on the buns (3 times already!), everything else is good. a lot of good options in the supermarket.

I used to frequent this grocery store, but I am never coming back. The two cashiers I had an encounter with today were rude. I asked where prepackaged lemongrass would be after going up and down the aisles myself. One of the cashiers refused to even talk to me, glaring at me with a nasty look on her face. The other cashier responded in a manner that wasn’t customer service appropriate/as if I had burdened her with my question. Why buy from a place you don’t even feel welcomed in?
