The hairstylists really know what they’re doing and take pride in their work. They’re very familiar with asian hair types. Jason (my hairdresser) made suggestions and the outcome was similar to the references he showed me. Really happy with the color as well as the way he cut my bangs. He made sure I left knowing how to maintain the color and answered any questions when it came to color fading.

I recently visited J1 for a much-needed haircut, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. My hair stylist Jason was making sure to understand exactly what I wanted.The salon itself is clean and inviting, with a modern decor that adds to the overall experience. Throughout my appointment, Jason was professional yet personable, offering helpful tips on how to maintain my new style at home. What I appreciated most was his attention to detail; every snip and trim was precise, showcasing his skill and dedication to his craft.

Good experience. X was very nice and methodical with his cut, just had a small area too short over my ear. Hair wash was nice and not uncomfortable like other places.

They are more experienced with Asian hair but not others. I’m Chinese and I trim my hair regularly here. I brought my husband (Caucasian) here once and they were clueless, even after I explained to them in Chinese what hairstyle he wanted. Hair wash is always nice with a brief scalp massage. They will cut your hair more carefully if it’s not super crowded (I recommend before 11am). And they have the cutest salon cat ever!!!

I paid full salon price for a full hair coloring service, but was very disappointed to see that my hair was colored using a BUBBLE DYE at sink, rather than a customized professional salon product. It was ridiculous and destroyed my hair. I have never used bubble dye in my life because I care about my hair quality. I remained polite and silent during the appointment, but this experience did not meet professional standards and I will not be returning.
