Jing Qiao OB/GYN

I needed to find a new OBGYN after my doctor closed her private practice. I found Dr. Qiao through my health plan directory and her Google reviews convinced me to make an appointment with her. Dr. Qiao was very nice. She was thorough in her exam and answered all of my questions and addressed all my concerns. I also want to mention the staff members I met, Kevin and Beverly, who were kind, friendly, polite and efficient. They both helped me via email/phone as well as in person at my appointment. I am glad/relieved to say I have found my new doctor. 🙂

This is the first time for me to meet this unreasonable front desk. What is strenuous exercise? I walked to their clinic. This is called strenuous exercise. Can only say that your medical skills are too high, too good for me to go.

AVOID, especially if you don’t speak Chinese. The front desk guy is pretty rude and kept asking me about how I’m paying before I even got treatment—I felt pressured and uncomfortable. The doctor herself was very unprofessional and kept cutting me off when I tried to explain why I was there. She was doing a check-up and insisted that everything was fine. I asked her for an ultrasound and she hesitated but after I kept asking, she did it to find that something was there. Why don’t you listen to what your patients want before making your own judgments? She kept insisting on doing extra stuff that I didn’t want to do, most likely to have more stuff to bill to my insurance? And later she suddenly left the room without answering any of my questions/telling me what to do to treat my condition. I had to wait another 30 minutes just to speak to her about this just to have her cut me off again. She didn’t even remember who I was. I guess that’s the problem with scheduling too many patients for one sitting. They didn’t even ask to make a follow-up appointment with me to make sure everything’s okay. They are super unprofessional and if you’re not a Chinese speaker, like I am, they will be ruder to you, considering how they treated me vs. all of the Chinese speaking patients that were there at the same time. I will definitely NOT be coming back and suggest that you AVOID this place and save your time/money.

Avoid this doctor and the NY Presbyterian Queens where she is delivering. People are hungry for money these days Dr Qiao was telling to me and my husband one story before I gave birth and other story once it was done and she made her money. Doctors like her make you have induction and a C section for no medical explanation and reason (the reason is for them to make more money!!!) She was also telling me she would wait to cut the cord a few minutes and during the childbirt she cut it right away and when I asked her after why she did that she gaslighted. Both me and my husband were shocked how a doctor can be such a bad person. Update: I had an easy and quick vaginal birth with my 2nd baby at a different hospital where I felt respected and genuinely cared for. My advice is also to have a doula, it will lower the risk of unnecessary medical procedures which makes hospitals and doctors like her make more $$$.
