Great experience! Dr. Pilavas removed my chalazion in the office and was very kind. He talked me through everything, which really helped because I was nervous. I initially went in for a consult and he let me choose whether I wanted to do it that day or come back—no pressure at all. I came back for the procedure and had no bruising or scarring. Highly recommend!

We are so happy with Dr. John Pilavas. Our mom is 95 years old and Dr. Pilavas has always been very attentive and caring, and very thorough in his explanation over the course of her treatment. He is extremely knowledgeable and has saved her from potential surgery.

He is refreshingly honest, providing realistic expectations and straightforward advice rather than just telling you what you want to hear. I also have to commend his support staff. His assistants are professional, very nice, and kind, which made the entire experience much more comfortable. It is rare to find a practice where both the specialist and the team operate at such a high level. I would recommend this office without hesitation.

Doctor Pilavas & his entire staff are very thorough, professional & friendly. They all are easy to speak with if you have any questions or concerns. Easy to get an appointment. You can see Doctor Pilavas really enjoys what he does & does it fantastically. My recent cataract surgery went extremely well & improving rapidly. My most recent appointment & exam which was 2 days ago; I am seeing clearly, able to read the various lines of the eye chart w/o hesitation, when before surgery I could not even read the first letter on the first line. Dr. John Pilavas is an excellent, extremely competent, highly skilled eye doctor. And he has an excellent, very professional, thorough, and friendly staff. Dr. Pilavas performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, and I had some other procedures done as well. I am extremely happy with the results. I've been wearing glasses since I was in the fourth grade, and, following the two cataract surgeries, I no longer need to wear glasses! My vision is terrific in both eyes. Feels amazing. Therefore, it is without any reservation that I highly recommend Dr. Pilavas for anyone that needs eye care.
