update 10/22 - Decided to visit again after the last terrible experience, this time everything was prompt and the staff handling my drink seemed careful and meticulous. The spanish latte tasted as good as I remembered. 2 stars - Came back here after a while and this place really has a way of souring my mood. Ordered my drink at 2:01 and by the time they finally made my drink it was 2:40. How is this acceptable? I would have understood if there were a long list of orders ahead of me. But my order being 20, even 26,25,28 were made ahead of mine. I asked about my order and was told a few more minutes. A few minutes later I ask again and the employee finally sees an empty cup and they finally start making my order. Only gave more than one star because the spanish latte with the devocion espresso is good which is why I even come back here but I guess Ill just stick to 60th st even though its a longer walk.

Jooy makes good drinks and food and has a nice, simple aesthetic with plenty of seating. The music isn't too loud - I am able to work and have a low conversation with a friend when I visit. I like their specialty drinks (lots of fun ones), and their classics are solid too. They have all of the expected add-ins/toppings, as well as some more special ones - I like swapping purple rice for my boba when I come here since a lot of places don't have that option. The fried chicken is nice and crispy - try the original flavor. The staff aren't super welcoming but they have digital ordering kiosks anyways. I like being able to take my time to browse the menu on a screen, and it's nice if you get anxiety standing at the counter trying to figure out your order. I'm a repeat customer and will continue to be so!

I ordered a mango solo and requested no jelly boba. When I received the drinks, it have jelly boba in there. I told whoever was up-front, I requested no jelly boba. Instead of making another one. They opened the lid and just string the boba out and potentially dump more tea or water or something in there to fill it to the top. 🧐 I’m not happy about how they approach this. .

The man at the front desk looked impatient. I'm a paying customer, not here to put up with your attitude. Even the best bubble tea is ruined by your bad service.

Went at 12:50pm to order some snacks and bubble tea. Used the Kiosk even though there were no lines. There were total of 4/5 staffs, but it felt as though they were short staffed. It took over half an hour to pick up my two drinks and three snacks. The poor lady ahead of me ordered only two drinks (one was coffee) and it also took her over half an hour. I saw one staff setting up the empty bags and one staff trying to fix the coffee machine even though the drinks were backed up. I would think they should prioritize or help the one person that’s making over 20 drinks at this point to push out the tickets. Extremely disorganized and doesn’t seem to focus on the right priorities.
