As a bread lover I must say that this place is AMAZING !! The salt bread speaks for itself - golden, buttery and that hint of salt ties everything together. I’m really impressed. It’s baked fresh and warm when they serve it. Highly recommend getting the sweet cream or the Uji matcha cream (which i prefer actually) to dip the bread into for that added layer of flavor. I also had their Salted Iced Matcha Latte and it was excellent. This place is a must visit for sure !! Highly recommend and i definitely can’t wait to go back for more
Highly recommend this place if you love buttery bread! I arrived here when there was no wait. These breads are freshly baked and addicting. The salt bread/shio pan here looks long compared to the typical salt bread but they taste just like the ones I’ve tried around Asia. They’re crisp and buttery on the outside with sprinkled salt, and soft and chewy on the inside. Each bread contains a chunk of butter rolled inside that melts and crisps the bottom. The 3 rolls with sweet cream (it’s a small container of lightly sweetened whipped cream) for $12 is a decent price, otherwise one roll is $4.50. There’s seating along the walls and a section for shoes-free tatami seating. One bathroom is downstairs. I haven’t tried the drinks yet and will update when I do. It’s nice to see a store that specializes in a food item. I’ll definitely be here again.
Update (later on the same day): you GUYS - it's actually better after it's cooled down?! Silly me, I assumed the would be best eaten fresh, and while that was great, giving one a try a few hours later blew me away. Once the bread has cooled, the outside becomes a lot more crispy, while the inside remains doughy. This is the way to go! Original review: My first attempt to come here was on a Saturday. When approaching, there was a long line halfway down the block, so I passed. Came back on a weekday morning, and the place was nice and quiet - no line at all! Even better: I got one 3-pack order, and decided I wanted more to take home with me, so I was able to easily and quickly get another order to take home. Also tried the signature salted coffee with sweet cream and loved that too. Tatami seating was a unique and welcoming touch. Will definitely return, just not on the weekend!
Best salt bread ive ever had it's soft buttery crispy and perfectly salted the creams are a lovely addition there soft and sweet. The bread is good without the cream but great with it. Matcha was lovely smooth creamy and sweet. I got the max amount of bread I wish I could of got more. The shop is so beautiful and calming the staff was super friendly and fast service. 10 out of 10 recommend checking it out.
We had the popular salted bread in Korea before, but we think it’s overrated coz there’s too much oil. Your hand is full of oil after u eat because they use lots of butter. Here at Justin’s you wouldn’t have such problem but, the bread is not as soft as Korea one. The bread only tastes good if u eat it when it’s freshly baked coz the outside is so crispy. But inside, it’s just average. And the bread is kinda skinny/small and it’s $12 for 3 ($4 each) and they only allow you to buy 2 set only (6 in total) If u wanna buy more, u will need to pay $4.5 each. I personally think that it doesn’t worth a long wait. Maybe it’s still new so there’s still hype but i am sure once ppl try it they wouldn’t think it worth to wait an hour at all. I waited half hour to get inside and then another half hour inside to wait for the bread out of oven freshly so it’s like an hour wait for an average bread. It’s not bad but definitely don’t worth the time. The so called signature salted coffee is also nothing special. U taste the salt with the coffee snd the coffee is not like a special type.
