Kuei Luck Early Childhood Center - Long Island City Campus

Our child has been at Kuei Luck for almost three years and we have been very happy with our overall experience! Our child absolutely loves all the teachers they've had and is excited going to school every day. The school has helped instill a love of learning in our child and we've observed strong social emotional development, not to mention the progress in mandarin with their immersion program. We have interacted regularly with the school teachers and administration and have been impressed with the amount of care and love they give to the children and their timely and professional communications with us parents. In our particular situation, the school director and classroom teachers have gone out of their way to help and support us in every way they can. We are grateful to have found such an amazing school in our community and would recommend it to anyone considering daycare or preschool.

Before sending our child to Kuei Luck, we were a bit anxious about how he would adjust to a more structured, collective environment, but those worries quickly faded as the director and teachers pay close attention to the kids and provide wonderful support during the transition. The director, Shuangye, is truly amazing, and we’re so grateful to have her. She’s clearly passionate about her work and deeply cares about the children. She’s resourceful, hands-on, knows every family well, and communicates with parents in a timely, proactive, and thoughtful way. Our little loves his class teachers, who are loving, considerate, and incredibly patient—even with the million questions I tend to ask about my child’s day! I don't ask as many questions now because our kid is becoming more communicative and tells us so much details about what's happenening with him and his friends at school. He also re-enacts "circle time" with us before bed which is so cute. A surprising little detail is that many teachers from other classrooms also seem to know our child well whenever we run into them in the hall way. This small detail speaks volumes about the center’s strong team and a solid organizational culture.

We started our girl there when she was 1year old. We really loved this facility. Teachers are very responsible. Admin and Staffs are very responsive and easy to reach out. I can call them anytime and they reply my phone call within 10mins. Her teacher is a very caring and inspiring lady that created a lot of different activities for the kids. The facility is pretty spacious compared to some other daycare in the same neighborhood. They have their own kitchen and her teacher sometimes cook healthy breakfast herself for the kids. Unfortunately we have to relocate due to work. Will miss everyone there!!! ❤️

This is one of the worst institution in Queens. Don't prepay any dollar to them. They will never refund even a penny whatever happen. The owner of this business is greedy for money. In 2019, I prepaid 1 year after school tuition fee. But the school was closed since March 2020 because of the pandemic. Up to today, they refused to refund even we had moved out Queens. This is a horrible scammer. Their tutors and even the owner (Kelvin) are unprofessional and always yelling and mad at the kids.

My child attended this center in the past. At that time, I noticed what felt like a strong smell of diapers and the bathroom inside the classroom area. When we returned home, I felt that the smell was still on my child’s clothing, which made me uncomfortable as a parent. Because of this, I decided it was best for my child to leave the program. I mentioned my concerns to the director at that time, but I felt that my worries were not fully understood. As a parent who was still learning English, I sometimes felt it was difficult to communicate my concerns clearly. Some other parents who were also not fluent in English expressed similar feelings to me. I hope that things have improved since then, and that the center continues to provide a clean and comfortable environment for all children.
