Kumon Math and Reading Center of Elmhurst

The teachers at this location are very knowledgeable of the materials they use to teach. Ms.Wang knows my sons and adjusts the pages that is appropriate to their needs. Highly recommend.

All three of my children have been guided under the Kumon curriculum. Each had their own unique strengths and potential gaps to fill and their individual styles of learning have been aided by Kumon’s flexible curriculum. As a result I have witnessed independence and much stronger confidence in themselves academically. They persist through solving problems to the point of self motivation and discipline. I am quite amazed in witnessing the foundational transformation of my children as they progressed into the Kumon curriculum.

My daughter has had a wonderful experience studying math at this Kumon center. The staff are professional and caring for the students' progress and success. She started early (~Kindergarten), so at 7th grade now, she has mastered materials that will be covered in high school. She is a member of her school math team, and she is also in the accelerated math class (1 grade above). We’re very pleased with her progress and truly appreciate the structured approach and support from Kumon center.

My son started with Kumon Elmhurst center since 1st grade. He has been sticking with Kumon for 7 years and really enjoys learning both math and reading there. He achieved C by 1, G by 4 and J by 6 as a honorary student. My daughter joined Kumon since age of 4 and likes learning there as well. She is 3rd grader and her math and reading are at least 3 grades beyond. So far she achieved C by 1 already and will achieve G by 4 in several months. I’m very happy with Kumon that they improve my kids’ math and reading skills and support them all the time!

KUMON is a notoriously known place where parents send their children to but honestly, as a parent of kumon childrens, I feel like there are better options. For one, their curriculum involves telling kids to memorize. How do you expect a child to memorize materials. They should be taught the fundamentals. My child keeps gaining more worksheet and drowning in the same problems. It's frustrating! I tell the front-desk lady and Mrs. MeiLi Hsu Wang and she is more than just frustrating. She's extremely rude and it painfully clear has issues. They just give out worksheets and send your kids home... as a parent of three wonderful kids, there are MUCH better options than this place.
