Kura Revolving Sushi Bar

Went to Kura Revolving Sushi in Flushing and accidentally entered the future. Sushi rolling past me on a conveyor belt, robot pulling up with my drink like, “Sir, your hydration.” Meanwhile I’m over here stacking $3.60 plates like I’m training for the Olympics. 15 plates later? Prize unlocked. I’ve never been so motivated in my life. Then boom — Hello Kitty and the squad took over the menu. I ordered the limited edition lineup like a grown man with zero shame. Cinnamoroll’s Sky Blue Jelly Parfait? Cheesecake, vanilla ice cream, yuzu jelly. Sweet. Tangy. Dangerous. Hello Kitty’s Avocado Dream Donut? Shrimp, avocado, pink yuzu cream. Cute name. Serious flavor. Pompompurin’s Caramelized Tamago Tempura Roll? Crispy, sweet, savory. Built like a champion. Even grabbed a tonkotsu ramen — rich pork broth, tender braised pork, egg… small bowl, big energy. They handed me a bag of Hello Kitty goodies on the way out. So yeah… I went in for sushi and left with collectibles. Real men eat ramen delivered by robots and win cartoon prizes. 🍣🤖

This is not the first time I’ve been to Kura and it never disappoints. Bella our server was very nice, she even inquired about the limited edition Hello Kitty and Friends Desert since it didn’t show up on the Kiosk. I would definitely go back. Friendly staff, great food. 5/5

We had such a great time at Kura Sushi Bar, Bella and Lilly were super friendly and took great care of us the whole time. They were really attentive, always smiling, and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about their guests. Thanks for making our visit such a good experience!

We were seated at the bar and love the option of a revolving belt of sushi items. It sounds like a great idea. There was a large party upriver where items were released. Most of the items didn’t make it to our side. We tried placing orders instead. Each seat has a screen to use for ordering drinks or food. The plates were made promptly and delivered but appeared smaller than the regular ones on the belt. Ramen noodles was good but came in a very small portion like cup noodles size. This is good for the ones concerned with calories. They have restrooms in the back with bidets.

For a conveyor belt sushi spot, this place is not bad! Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is a chain that I've been to before, but this location in Tangram is the only one that (I believe) is in New York (there's a couple in Jersey!). Service here is a bit slow for rolls you order and drinks, but they're nice and will explain to you how the conveyor belt and ordering works. Practically all of their nigiri is $3.99, which not many places do (I mean, American wagyu and tamago for the same price??). But, they also have a couple other appetizers, noodle dishes, and handrolls. Their rice to fish ratio is not the best I've seen but their fish quality isn't bad. Overall, I think it's pretty worth it for the price and it's a great solo dining spot!
