Lao Ma Spicy

Spicy, spicy and spicy! You will absolutely fall in love with the numbing spice and tingling of the Sichuan peppercorns. Bomb level of spice paired with a very flexible menu is the recipe for a hearty meal. Spicy Dry Hot Pot is their signature bestselling dish, worth the after effects of the spiciness. The food will definitely make you come back again and again. I am sure to visit this restaurant once more pretty soon.

The food prices are a bit high. Perhaps the rent is higher due to its proximity to NYU. A single person ordered a spicy hot pot and ended up paying $60. In the case of takeout. If you add a tip when dining in Compared to the food court in Flushing's New World, which doesn't offer tipping, this place... Perhaps it's simply to cater to the spending habits of Asian students. Coming to this restaurant during our group tour. I promise it is the best one comparing with other Chinese cuisines in our American kitchen trip. Maybe it cannot be compared to the ones in China, but when Chinese people here are homesick it definitely will not disappoint.

We came here on Halloween, around 8:30 pm; the place was mildly busy, and they took our order within 15 min of arriving to the place. We ordered the sesame chicken, the beef noodle soup and the soup dumplings; they were all DELICIOUS! The broth took my breath away, the meat was as tender as a piece of cotton candy. The chicken was crispy with a perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness. I will come here one thousand times more. PS: the soup dumplings are too few (only 3), just FYI!

Went there on Saturday night got around $80 dollars of food but we couldn’t finish it so we packed it back home for tomorrow. And when we are eating it the next day we saw a scotch-brite inside our food. Couldn’t imagine if I did not see it I would have just eat it. But the experience in the store was good.
