I have been a patient of Dr. Goldstein's for almost 20 years. He is always spot on; takes the time to answer all questions and explains the insurance coverage when I have questions. And since I wear only John Lennon or Granny Glass frames, he always has me covered. He has also been there when i have had medical issues like Vertigo as it was affecting my focusing and a torn retina, immediatley sending me to a top specialist. And his assistant Cindy keeps it lively. He is top notch - the best.

Dr Goldstein is wonderful. My family and I have been patients of his for over 30 years! He is an incredibly kind, competent, and a great optometrist but, he is an even nicer person. I highly recommend Dr Goldstein.

I came to see this optometrist because they had a Groupon for an eye exam and contact lens fitting. In hindsight, that should've been my first red flag. The receptionist immediately tried to upcharge me -- the Groupon was for $79, but somehow my total jumped to $200 after a vague explanation that made no sense. Against my better judgment, I went along with it. Then I met Dr. Leonard Goldstein, the geriatric fossil. The exam room was the size of my broom closet, and before we even started, I mentioned that I'd had eye surgery about a year and a half ago. The doctor immediately got flustered and said, "I'm not touching that." I thought he was joking, but he repeated it multiple times -- louder each time -- like I was some kind of liability instead of a patient. When I asked calmly if that meant I couldn't get a regular eye exam anymore, he just kept repeating the same line. I finally walked out. Moments later, he came out to the front desk and loudly told the receptionist to refund me while discussing my personal medical information in front of another client -- which is a clear HIPAA violation. That client even started asking me about my eye surgery, which was completely inappropriate. I was shocked by how unprofessional and outdated this place felt -- both in attitude and practice. If you value professionalism, privacy, and basic respect, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
