Always a great experience at LIC Dental from the moment I walk in to the end of the visit. Dr. Lee explained procedure with great care and operated with precision when replacing my permanent retainer. Hygienists are also highly experienced and my teeth look great after each cleaning. Front office staff is friendly, professional and patient with explaining fees. The office space also receives a lot of natural sunlight which adds to the overall environment. Highly recommended.

This place is legit, by and far the most comprehensive first visit and cleaning (a cleaning mind you done by BOTH the dentist and hygienist). Everyone who worked in the office was kind, professional and thorough. Very glad to have found this office and looking forward to returning.

I was seen as a new patient and the dental care was very good. Billing was an unusual experience: prior to my appointment, I called the office and asked if they took my dental insurance and was told yes. When I checked in for my appointment, I asked again to confirm and was told yes. The receptionist took my insurance card to review it and handed it back to me without saying anything, and so I confirmed again that we were all set with my insurance. I believed them to be in-network with my insurance based on their responses. I proceeded with my appointment, and days later received a notice from my insurance that a substantial balance was due because LIC Detal is out of network. I next called LIC Dental and spoke to the receptionist who had checked me in. They told me I needed to specifically use the words “in network” when asking if they took my insurance. They called me back again after 24 hours saying that they resubmitted the claim to insurance because they believed I was overcharged. This effectively reduced the amount due. I found the whole experience to be omissive, perhaps deceptive, and unusual. It should have been clear that as a new patient asking multiple times about insurance that my intention was to understand if they were in-network. They were not transparent and had multiple opportunities to be. I also cannot confirm whether the overcharge was a result of LIC Dental’s mistake or my insurance company’s mistake. I won’t be returning to this office.

Avoid this place, unless you’re okay with unnecessary x-ray exposure for you/your family. They require panaromic X-rays plus a whole set of traditional x-rays at the first visit. Why both? It’s for your own good, of course! The dentist claimed that other practices take an xray for “every single tooth” otherwise, not just the 10 traditional x-rays they wanted in addition to a panoramic. They won’t see you unless you agree to this, became clear they would make the same threats at every visit. I walked out because their main interest is clearly to maximize profits, and reading the one star reviews here confirmed that.
