THIS is the standard against which all Portuguese egg tarts are measured against. My first taste was when I worked at a Brooklyn title company on 64th and 8th. Clients of the firm brought up boxes for the staff so I was able to try one. It was just so amazing! Rich and creamy, so tasty... My very nice colleagues from then on would bring them over to my desk whenever they were available and I'd devour them. One day I went in the morning to buy some and there's a separate line for patrons who specifically come for these Portuguese egg tarts. A box of 6 costs a bit over $10, well worth it in my humble opinion. In fact, I just bought a box from the 86th Street branch yesterday and am eating it right now!

Great selection of buns, desserts, and savory food. Service is fast and food/drink are all delicious and affordable. Highly recommend their Hong Kong style milk tea (hot), rice noodles. These are must-have authentic food and drink. I always get them the couples time I visited this place. I have also tried soda salted lemon cold drink. The salted lemon is a very unique preserved fruit, you will not get else where easily. Sweet and salty, and very refreshing in the hot summer. They have a menu of breakfast congee, but only one of the congee is for sale each day, so if you like any one particularly, you might not see it until next rotation. It might be hard to choose the buns or dessert you want if you are here for the first time, because they fenced out half of the store, so it is hard to see what is on the inner shelf. They do have a staff there to help you and ask you what you want so it is a bit better.

Slightly more upscale than your traditional mom & pops bakery. Decent selection of bread, bao, pastry. Dessert is not overly sweet. Very clean and well kept inside. Staff was nice and polite. Not a lot of seating available, only a bar table with 2 high chairs. They accept cash or credit card ($5 minimum purchase required). Street parking only.

Previously when purchasing buns here, often ask to have one where bag is not wet. Server always said all buns same and good.2 days ago, again given a bag of steamed buns with wet bag, old dry buns with 2 pieces of hair and same poor server.

Worst bakery service. I ordered a fresh-made item and waited while about 10–15 customers came in after me. Even though my food was already prepared and only needed to be put into a bag with my other items (which would have taken about a minute), the staff continued serving everyone else in line. I even saw other completed fresh-made orders sitting on the counter. The staff kept taking new customers until the line was completely gone. When I asked why I had to wait while everyone who arrived after me was served first, I was told she was the only one working. That’s not an excuse—it’s poor management. This has happened to me twice at this location. I will never buy gift cards from this bakery or return again.
