I trained and studied at Ling Nam for about 2 1/2 years in my mid-twenties. This place is amazing! The entire Hung Gar and Wing Chung systems, plus some Bak Mai, Lama, White Crane, Mantis, Choi La Fut and others styles mixed in. Weapon training starts right away with the broad sword form and is very versatile and useful. In my relatively short time there, I learned 5 hand forms and two weapons. A lifetime of skills! This place is super traditional and has been around since the mid 80’s. Tried some places for kung fu or martial arts of sort but Ling Nam is the best! Chinese New year’s performances are great, as this is traditionally the job of a kung fu school to perform. Had to stop going for busy schedule then moved away. This art of training with access to herbs and other great cultural aspects, sets the school aside. Sifu Mike was a great man and Sifu Mark is also great. If I could I would go back in a heart beat.
