A great little Korean food spot - the food is excellent and the online ordering is smooth and fast. This restaurant is shared with Meju, a Michelin-starred restaurant, and thus you can expect the food to be extremely high quality - even the meats seem to be sourced the same (Niman ranch). Overall, we loved our meals - the bibimbap was particularly excellent. The ingredients are really fresh, we’ll definitely come back
My first time here and the girl working there was good with helping me choose a kimchi, although I was disappointed that sampling wasn’t an option, especially for the price that they’re charging. Very happy with my choice of radish kimchi, but it’s pretty expensive and not a place I could go to regularly.
Delicious Korean banchan and dishes like jjajangmyeon, jjampong, soondubu jjigae. You can pick something from the refrigerator and they’ll heat it up so you can eat it there with rice and tea. I really wish they had bowls rather than takeout containers for eating there, but I guess it’s convenient if you have leftovers. Prices are a bit high. For instance, the kimchi jjigae at Tosokchon is $19 and is heartier, comes with rice and banchan. Here, it is $19.50 plus $2.75 for rice.
I've always walked by this shop and wanted to check it out one day. While they have a selection of Korean household dishes/banchan, you can also order food to eat here (although there isn't much seating except for a bar at the window). Their selection of banchan (Korean side dishes) are thoughtfully curated and made in-house. They seem to use premium ingredients and their prices reflect that. I didn't get any of their banchan as I already had a lot at home, but I did try their beef kimbap. Maybe my expectations were really high, but I didn't see anything special with it. It was good, but you could easily find kimbap that tastes just as good at a more affordable price.
Adorable and lovely concept, but unfortunately execution was a bit of a miss for me - I had expectations for it to be a slightly more thoughtful food experience (this is specifically a review for dine in + their hot food) I ordered their daily special, Galbi Beef over Rice and Jjampong Beef Brisket Noodles. Both tasted very fresh and non-oily. However, it was also one-dimensional in flavor to me. At the price point $19-24, I was hoping for maybe a side of banchan or some veggies to pair with it. The Galbi beef was simply slabs of Galbi beef over rice. I think having even a tiny side of peppers, bean sprouts or even kimchi would given the dish a lot more depth. The same rings true for the noodle dish - it had a strong chili oil taste, but no warmth - sweetness or acidity. Pros: • Spacious, organized layout • Their food is made without any additives • You can taste the freshness in their food • Banchan selection is good • Lots of imported snacks and drinks Cons: • Pricey for the hot food you’re being presented with • Flavors didn’t have enough depth for me • Could be a much more thoughtful food experience • Limited seating - we had to eat on the bench by the kitchen before someone left the tables and space freed up Overall left disappointed and much to be desired especially at this price point. I’d come here for the Banchan and snacks if I were to return.
