Long Giang Dang Laundromat

I love this place. Cheapest around (12$ for 10lbs of wash and fold, havent changed prices in 3 years). Satans grandma HAS been there a couple times but honestly look down and walk fast. She has nothing to do with the laundromat. She lives upstairs and there are politics with her and the lovely ladies who work here. The are fast, efficient and cheap. I wish the rest of NYC was run like this laundromat.

I have problem with that Santa grandma for so many years and she is the only reason I don’t like to come here. When I was little I was new to the place and was so scared of her yelling at me to stay away from the place even I was just waiting for my dryer to finish. No standing inside, outside ,in front of store, no where…. She spit at me and followed me until I can’t really stand her. Many years passed I learned she’s not even the owner and just the resident next door. I got so tired of her and now I just rolled my eyes to her and yelled back, I don’t give respect to such ppl who don’t respect others. But she still the only reason I don’t like to come here. And today I was gonna check the last wash schedule and found so many review abt her , look like I am not the only target…. And yes I still see her walking around the neighborhood l…. Gosh

If you're wondering, Satan's Grandmother has survived covid and is still around. I had read the reviews before coming but did not believe the character still existed. As I waited the 2min before my laundry to finish washing, this old lady came around outside picking up trash. I had headphones on and wasn't sure what she was mumbling - so I kinda let it go, after all, it's NYC and you ignore people. When I came back 25min later for the drier, I was waiting outside once again and she approached. I was leaning against a post next to the laundromat and she came towards me, and spit on the sidewalk floor in front of me. I thought to be blocking a door or her path and moved away. She seemed so old and fray I imagined she could be sick and be spitting around. Then she followed me to the front of the laundromat and our lovely conversation started. She told me to go away since I shouldn't be there. I said I was waiting for the laundry. She said I was loitering. Granted it was very hard to hear her, but at this point everything connected in my head "It's her!". She proceeded to tell me this was private property and I couldn't stay there ("on the sidewalk"), which I replied 'no it is not, and I can stay here as long as I can'. She ask me where I lived and if it was OK for her to go to my house and 'loiter'. I said 'go ahead, I don't care'. She proceeded to spit again and say that 'The virus came and didn't take the bad people like yourself with it' or something in those lines. And repeatedly mentioned I was loitering. At this point I told her to go away and stop disturbing people, which she weirdly did. She retreated to the next building and kinda stayed there, watching people and rehearsing her next move - as a girl in that Reve Scoot Scoot pulled over, Satan's G-ma took her time and started heading towards the girl, who for, I believe, other reason, decided to leave the scene. I do not think she owns the place either, it would be incredibly weird. I also feel bad for the employees in the store that have to deal with her - probably daily.

As a rule, I avoid writing negative reviews, but this Asian woman left me no choice — I feel the need to warn potential customers. She was extremely unfriendly and clearly dissatisfied. The ATM on the premises wasn’t working, and she refused to break my $100 bill. Overall, her attitude was rude and unwelcoming — she even snatched the cash out of my hands. This is truly terrible service. I suggest you pay a little extra and go to any other laundromat around the corner. This was my first and definitely last time using this place.
