Mango Mango Dessert - East Village

I went on a freezing cold Friday night so the wait was short. Yes, it was still busy, haha. The location is upstairs on a popular block of E. 8th/St. Mark’s close to NYU so draws a younger crowd. The staff had their hands full but were still friendly. There were two of us so we decided to share Combo A with the mango sugo, mango with black rice, and mango mille crepe cake. A lot of mango and it was all tasty! I think mango is a good dessert choice for those that want something sweet but not too much so. Sharing a pot of Dragon Jasmine tea was nice for balancing out the flavor and for staying warm.

Mango Mango Dessert in the East Village is solid dessert spot for me. All of the desserts felt high quality and truly lived up to the mango name, with fresh flavor and great texture in every bite. I had the mango pancake, which actually was not a pancake at all, but a layer of cream on top of a mango slice wrapped in a light, delicate wrapper. It was refreshing and not overly sweet. The variety on the menu is amazing, and the interior is clean and nice. There was a short wait, but it did not bother me. Service was decent, and I would definitely come back to try more.

We stopped by here for some dessert. The creme brulee crepe cake was fantastic. It was light, airy, and not too sweet. They have a wide assortment of desserts like this. I hear this spot also made the NYT 100 Restaurants in NYC list. Will definitely be back to try some more options.

One of the better locations in nyc. I’ve been here multiple times. A lot more spacious than the Chinatown location, and more tables for seating. Pretty quiet, and the mango desserts are yummy! - Mango crepe cake: 9/10, very light and airy. Good mango flavor - Black sesame paste soup w/ sesame mochi and additional peanut mochi ($8.50 + $2 for 4 additional mochi): 7/10, not very sweet, but too much soup compared to number of tangyuan. Wish there was more filling inside. I’ve had better frozen ones from the grocery store. Sesame mochi > peanut mochi

I came here because of the queen Ayana. The place is quite crowded with around 4-5 little tables. The food is really fresh, they have good mangos. The service was okay, not the best for being such a small place. The store was pretty clean.
