I had an amazing time at Marathon Hong Kong Diner! Their black peppered beef noodles were so flavorful and their noodles were cooked to perfection. The pork cutlet was full of meat and was really good with their curry. The cheese on top was also the perfect combo. I love Hong Kong French Toast and they perfected this dish with the best ratio of bread, condensed milk, and peanut butter inside. I also loved their red bean milk tea. The food was also made so quick! Can’t wait to come back again~

Stopped by to try their NEW curry fish balls and they did not disappoint! The texture is perfect — bouncy and firm, just like the ones from the street stalls. The curry sauce is seriously addictive: thick with a little spicy kick that builds as you eat. If you're a fan of Hong Kong street food, these fish balls are an absolute must-try. Already thinking about when I can go back for another fix!!!

Finally tried HK Marathon Diner and it's legit. The HK-style French toast was perfect — thick, golden, with that melty peanut butter center. Drenched in syrup just like it should be. Paired it with their milk tea: strong, silky, that proper bitter edge. Exactly what you want! Love the "MADE IN HONG KONG" vibes — left way happier than I arrived. If you're craving authentic cha chaan tang food, this is your spot. Get the French toast and milk tea combo, you won't regret it!

My HK friends have been raving about their food, so I finally made the trip to check it out. You’ll spot their booth immediately when you walk into LIC Food Hall. I met the owner, David, who’s born and raised in HK and very passionate about bringing true HK comfort flavors to NYC. A lot of their dishes remind me of Cafe de Coral (大家樂) or Fairwood (大快活), just even better. They exceeded even my high bar for HK food. To be honest, the prices are higher than the HK cafes in Chinatown, Brooklyn, or Flushing, but you can really taste the difference in the quality of the meat. Since there aren’t any HK cafes in this area, this is a solid, legit option. Please support them! I’ll definitely come back with my HK friends. *Signature Pork Cutlet Over Rice 招牌吉列豬扒飯$18 The black pepper sauce was delicious, and the fried pork cutlet was tender. The portion was so huge that it was easily enough for two meals. *Black Pepper Beef Spaghetti 黑椒牛肉意粉 $18 The pasta was super saucy with a peppery kick, while the sliced beef was tender and well-seasoned. *Macaroni in Tomato Soup with Beef and Onsen Egg 番茄牛肉通粉配溫泉蛋 $16.5 An elevated take on the classic HK style macaroni breakfast, topped with a perfectly cooked onsen egg. So comforting on a cold day. * HK Style French Toast 香港西多士 $11 * Bolo Bun with Butter 菠蘿油 $6 The 西多士 blew my mind. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and packed with peanut butter. Add butter and condensed milk and it becomes peak comfort food. The pineapple bun with butter was quite pricey for what it was. *HK Style Milk Tea 港式絲襪奶茶 $6 *Red Bean Ice 紅豆冰 $8 Their 紅豆冰 truly reminded me of the afternoon tea sets at Cafe de Coral. Both the milk tea and red bean ice tasted authentic and not too sweet (I did request for less sugar).

Marathon Hong Kong Diner has become my favorite spot in Long Island City for real Hong Kong–style comfort food. The crispy chicken cutlet and pork cutlet over rice are huge, flavorful, and honestly some of the best in NYC. Their tomato macaroni soup tastes exactly like a classic HK café, and the HK-style milk tea is rich, smooth, and perfectly pulled. Everything is made fresh, portions are generous, and the quality is consistent every time. I also love the bolo yau (pineapple bun with salted butter) and the French toast — both are must-tries. If you’re looking for authentic Hong Kong food in LIC, especially inside the neighborhood’s food hall, this place is unbeatable. Marathon HK Diner is bringing true cha chaan teng flavors to NYC, and it’s quickly becoming a local favorite. Highly recommend stopping by!
