I’m so happy to have Luo Guan Zhong right downstairs in LIC! The food is authentic, flavorful, and comforting. We ordered a bunch of dishes — the beef roujiamo was crispy and juicy, the salt and pepper chicken was perfectly seasoned and crispy, and the cold appetizer platter (pig ear, mouthwatering chicken, smashed cucumber) was super refreshing and flavorful. The classic and beef crossing-the-bridge rice noodles were hearty and satisfying, with rich broth and generous toppings. We also tried the Vietnamese pho, which was light and aromatic, and the scallion pancake, which was crispy and fragrant. Everything tasted homemade and very fresh. Highly recommend for anyone craving a hearty, delicious meal in LIC!

The noodles soak up the flavorful sauce, while the beef tripe is perfectly chewy. Topped with crushed peanuts, corn, and cucumber for extra crunch—every bite is packed with umami goodness. 🍲 Pho Dac Biet Didn’t expect to find great pho here too! A hidden gem. The rice noodles are fantastic. The broth is rich, maybe a little overly oily but I love that. Comes in a heated pot that keeps the soup hot. I'd recommend the original soup base and the beef rice noodles.
I've been to MasterL around 5 or 6 times since they opened last year, and I think they're always consistently pretty good. I've had a few of their different 過橋米線 rice noodle dishes and never been disappointed. Noodles are fine, and meats are generally good quality. My favourite is the sliced beef option, and the sauerkraut blackfish 酸菜魚 is also yummy. For the soup choice, I usually get the (original) pork broth, which is savoury and not overly salty. The tomato broth is also quite yummy, I like that it brings out bit of the sweetness of the tomato to complement the other savoury flavours. The other various toppings (? ingredients), though, are generally a bit lacking. The veggies (cabbage, bok choy) are OK don't always taste the freshest. The tofu puffs always feels a bit oily / soggy. The hot dry noodles are also quite delicious options, nice for a warmer day when a large bowl of soup isn't quite what you're looking for. Price point is a bit high for the quality, but it’s not too crazy for the neighbourhood. I think it’s good that there's a decent rice noodle place in the area.
Very disappointed with the food. You are not getting what they show in the promotional pictures. You don't get individual dishes on the side in a square tray. You got all ingredients dumped in a potty looking bowl and the amount of ingredients in the pot is pathetic. I got the #6 beef noodle soup and all I got was 3 tiny little pieces of beef. This is not worth $18, I would go straight to other restaurants near by. Do not recommend and will not come back. I think I have never been this disappointed for a while that I had to write this review while eating it.
