It's my first time going and the waitress was very kind to explain the menu to me. I was really amazed at how kind the lady was. Unfortunately I did not ask her name 🥺 It was simple to order, the noodles were delicious, the soup is wonderful! The stewed meat was too delicious, soft and juicy omg 😍♥️ It is an excellent place to eat in these cold times. Hot tea is really refreshing and good 🫶 I will come back and recommend my friends to come here ✨

Discovered this place on the infatuation list of best noodle places and it didn’t disappoint. We got the wonton and dumpling noodle soup. The broth, noodles, and dumplings were tasty, but the highlight was the wontons. If I go back I will just get the wontons and skip the dumplings. The dumplings were large and packed with shrimp. I don’t think I have seen a wonton dumpling with so many shrimp inside. The service was also very fast, which was great because I was starving. Thanks for a great lunch. See you soon!

Side notes: They have two prices, depending on card and cash (I'll be listing the cash prices only below in my review.) I would personally heavily recommend the wontons and dumplings. Having visited one of their Flushing locations a while ago and remembering how good their noodles and wontons were, I was looking forward to going to Maxi's ever since it opened. I have since been there twice, and while it is a bit more expensive than the other spots on the block, the quality (and size) of the wontons and dumplings makes up for it alone, along with their excellent noodles. Otherwise, the service is friendly, and they have a pretty solid HK Style Milk Tea, which is $4.60 for a 16-oz iced or $3.70 for a 12-oz hot version. You can also, of course, get this as a Yuenyeung, or a mix of said milk tea and coffee for the same price. The tea is boldly flavored and very lightly sweet, as it should be, with the mix being my preference, as the coffee adds a slight bitterness. Both times, I had the Three Toppings in Soup, which is $12.75. Both times, I ordered their most popular duck egg noodles with my first two topping choices, both times being the wontons and dumplings. In general, the noodles are wonderful, having a bit more of a chew compared to other egg noodles, almost reminding me of some northern Chinese noodles. The soup is not particularly notable otherwise, though their good chili oil helps. For the first time, my third topping was the Ja Jiang, or pork strips with sweet sauce and mushrooms, while the other time I got the Dace Fish Ball. In terms of the other toppings, the wontons are bouncy with plenty of plump shrimp and some pork as well, but my preference is the dumplings, which have the same wonderful bouncy texture but with added crunch from the vegetables. The Ja Jiang was alright with the pork not being too flavorful, outside of it being a tad too sweet. The dace was more to my liking with a light fishy flavor and a slight chew to it. Next time, however, I would have the beef stew instead. This is one of the better wonton and dumpling spots in the city, though next time, I would get the beef stew with them or just get said toppings. The excellent noodles and pretty good broth help as well. I'd definitely go back.

Solid wonton soup place if you don’t have cash and all the other popular places are full (which is very common). I liked the soups, especially the wontons (better wontons than Wu’s) and the beef tendon was soft and tender. Everything was a little low on salt except the crab rangoons, but the prices were very reasonable, and service was great. There are some dishes not on the menu but on the walls (with pictures and no English text) so keep an eye out. Would come back

This place is highly recommended online. Don’t ask me where online but I know online my partner was like we have to go here we’re nearby so we went. The menu is pretty simple. You wanna go for the noodles so that’s what we got. There’s a little confusion on the noodle soup base to meat options. We thought we ordered one, but we were very confused on what it meant. Not their fault. Probably our fault. Food – I mentioned earlier there was some slight confusion on what we ordered. We thought we ordered a soup with beef and we pointed that one, but there was no beef in it. I think it’s because it’s made with a beef broth. However they had a hard time explaining the confusion, especially because we pointed at it but again this is on us. We got the soups with everything in them, the dumplings, the wontons all of it delicious add a little bit of the chili paste to it and it’s amazing. I’m curious if you’re supposed to add the vinegar to the soup, it was not explained. Very warm, very comforting very enjoyable. We finished all of our soup. Atmosphere – now it’s a very small place. This is a normal thing in Chinatown however, all the staff stand right behind you. It’s kind of intimidating and overwhelming a little bit. They’re there for your every need which is great. It’s great service but it kind of feels like they’re watching the entire time not an issue just felt kind of weird. Overall, we love the place. We also got frozen dumplings to go home with and they’re huge and I wanna go back and get more of them. I’ve eaten all of them already. I’m already out. They’re super juicy lots of meat.
