A very filling snack for $4.50. Plus they have a promo where if you buy 1 wheelie cake you get a milktea for $1.99.
The cakes are always baked just right. Crispy on the outside melty and warm on the inside.
The MT was way too sweet. Can't complain though.

The process of making it is so cool and fun to look at and the ingredients look and taste fresh. But the egg base is like… hard and not chewy and sweet so the flavor and texture wasn’t what I expected it to be.

the taro wheel cake was good and loved how warm the filling was!! the sparkling kumquat osmanthus drink was a bit too sweet for my liking and very kumquat forward

Freshly made, hot and creamy, the flavor meets the expectation but not *that* impressively good. Will I go all the way from Jersey City to Flushing just for this cake? No. Grab a quick bite at Tangram? Sure why not. Doesn’t hurt trying!

Located inside of Tangram, this food stall is a convenient spot for wheel cakes. I swung by here after dinner to try their red bean and custard wheel cake as well as their strawberry lime sparkling drink. I thought that it was both okay. I wish the wheel cake had a bit more filling and was a bit less bready. I also felt that the drink was very heavy on the syrup and overly sweet.
