Also surprised at all the negative review. Been using Murray Hill as our management company for 11 years now. They helped us turn our building from a -$400K deficit to a +$200k surplus. They may not be the best out there but they always work with you and helped anyway they can to keep cost down. I would highly recommend going with them.
Some reviews say “people have unrealistic expectations” to management companies— wait till you see Murray hill’s rudeness Tony and his team has! it will make one gasp on how ignorant, fact twisting and obnoxious they are. No refund on any mistakenly charged fee with ever raising rate to maintain their horrendous service and continued unprofessional work. Worst worst worst! Board committee, think quadruple times before hiring them!
By far one of the worst management companies that my building has ever had. The people working at Murray Hill neglect any issues that the management company should be handling. Tony and his team are super unprofessional and rude whenever we get in touch with them. Their only purpose is to collect the maintenance fee and you're on your own for everything else. If your building is considering switching to Murray Hill, please reconsider. As of this review, our building has switched management and will never look back.
They work for my co-op, Hunter Gardens, and I had a fraudulent cash in on a maintenance check recently. Not cashed in by these companies, but it was mailed accidentally by my BILT card to a different address, but same company name and someone else cashed it in. I asked Murray Hill Management to help me out by signing as an equivalence to me on an affidavit form so I can find out who fraudulently cashed in my co-op's maintenance check and attempt to get cash back because it's not a few hundred dollars! However, these guys refused to sign to provide any help because it wasn't their issue. In addition, they send an email later to me, attaching my co-op board, referring to me with the incorrect name and invoke the same issue a couple times, and wish me luck on this cash loss and that I would still owe the late charges despite what happened -- and this is after 10 emails back and forth and all of this took an entire month. In addition, I've tried calling into this place multiple times to help answer questions I had and kept getting pushed around by different people who answered. They tell me they'll give me a callback and for a whole month of waiting, with no response each time and having to repeat myself each time I called. It's incredibly annoying to deal with these guys because they'e just a business so when I drop off my check in person, I just wait until one of the guys takes it and tells me they're good and I walk away without chatting them at all by playing music in my earbuds because I'm just done with them.
I recently had a very disappointing experience with Murray Hill Management for my apt in Flushing NY. They have been consistently unprofessional and always push back on what should be their responsibility. The roof of our building was damaged by Verizon, who leases space from the building. This damage caused the ceiling in my unit to collapse--a serious structural issue. When I contacted the Mingo at Murray Hill Management to repair the ceiling, they refused to take action. Instead, they told me to reach out to Verizon directly but wouldn't provide any contact information for Verizon's contractor or details about the lease agreement. This lack of accountability and support is unacceptable. As a tenant, I shouldn't have to navigate third-party communications to resolve structural damages of the building. Their unwillingness to assist has left me frustrated and concerned about the safety and integrity of the building. I would not recommend Murray Hill Management to anyone seeking a responsive and responsible property management team. Their approach to tenant concerns is dismissive, and they fail to uphold their obligations.
