Nana Baking

So there was a snafu with my order and while I wasn’t exactly happy as it happened in Christmas Eve, the staff/owner were all very nice and they’re a small business doing what they can on a holiday with their family. Plus their baked goods are delicious! Two stand outs are the black sesame Swiss rolls and the durian cream puffs. It’s been a year since my last review, and I think they improved the black sesame flavor. A full Swiss roll was $28 and so worth it. The durian cream puffs has a chunk of durian in it and the choux was crisp. Durian cream puffs sell out often. The chestnut mini cake is super cute, and honestly, it’s hard to find chestnut flavored things here anymore. If I had to label this bakery anything, it would be the Chinese bakery that has all the nostalgic flavors with modern takes. Most Chinese bakeries by here don’t do black sesame, durian or chestnut anymore. And this place does it well, and they’re nice. NOTE: to order, they prefer WeChat. My ordering snafu happened bc I tried calling and there was a language miscommunication between WeChat/text messaging. WeChat is the easiest way to place orders.

Absolutely amazing Japanese bakery in New York! After visiting this place, I don’t even crave other sweets — everything is just perfect. I tried the strawberry crepe, and the taste was unforgettable! Every bite felt like a little piece of heaven. Highly recommend to anyone who loves quality desserts and delicate flavors.

Love the quick turnaround for my order. I put in an order for 400 macarons for my event and they really delivered. I loved that the macarons were not too sweet and fresh. My guests really enjoyed them too. The boss lady was very nice and personable in letting me try flavors before making a decision. Will definitely order again for my next event!

This cute place is tucked around the corner of Bay 22nd Street, I am so glad I stumbled upon it today.The space is cozy and the owner is very nice. They have a wide array of desserts and take custom cake orders. It is reasonably priced for the quality. I got the taro mochi cake, cheesecake, and pumpkin loaf. Everything was really fluffy, not too sweet, and SOOOOO yummy. I loved the textures in the cake cup. I'm definitely coming back to try the rest of their menu and to share with my friends and family. Highly recommend for desserts that anybody could enjoy. Edit: Ordered a custom birthday cake for my dad's birthday for the first time from this bakery, and she really wowed us. The cake is beautiful and you can tell she is very attentive to the details. The cake is not too sweet and very soft like literally pillowy soft. The filling has mango and it's sooooo fragrant. This was an 8 inch cake for 13 guests, but we still have 2 leftover slices. For the details and time it took to put it together, it was worth every penny. I think for her skills, the cake is very fairly priced. We loved everything about this cake, I highly recommend getting cakes from Nana Baking for any occasion!!!

Delicious durian pandan cake! The pandan spongecake was really complimented the 2 THICK layers of durian in between. The fondant outer design of billards was also perfect 🤩
