It's a Taoist temple related to Taiwan. I was able to witness the passage of the Goddess of the Sea named Mazu. The idol makes a voyage across the world to various temples.
Mazu was a real person named Lin Moniang from the Fujian Province in China. While I'm not a devotee of Taoism, I have read the Tao and thought there was wisdom in this.

It was a wonderful experience. I went because my mother is a Daoist & it is therefore important to me to learn how to practice properly. The volunteers were patient & kind while explaining the ceremonies & I happened to come on an important day, so I got to participate in a mass offering. They also didn't mind that I brought my partner.

Spiritual uplifting place. Beautifully kept. Come with a humble heart for blessings for you and your family. The sysff is helpful, kind, selfless, giving, and knowledgeable of everything. Kid friendly and elderly friendly as well. Parking can be hard to find on the streets so have some patience with that.
My sister and I have been to this temple on Chinese New Year, and that there were people there at this temple and that they were praying or donating money. The temple had many gods and volunteers there and they were nice, and friendly. Also, the temple has 3 floors and that during the Chinese New Year after
praying, people go outside and line up and one by one cross a bridge with lights on the floor and then ring bell and go under an altar their people will get cleaned for the new year.
