Dr. Wawrin took such great care of our 2 year old son this past week. He was pretty miserable with a double ear infection and not at all cooperative with the exam. She was patient and kind and answered all our questions on how to keep him comfortable until the antibiotics took effect. We feel so lucky to have seen her. She has even reached out to follow up on how he is feeling a few days later.

We truly feel so lucky to have found Dr. Wawrin. From the moment we met her, she has treated our children as if they were her own—with warmth, care, and full-hearted involvement. She takes the time to listen, explains everything with patience and clarity, and always makes our kids feel safe, seen, and cared for. She doesn’t just address their physical health; she genuinely gets them—their personalities, needs, and even our worries as parents. No concern is ever too small, and no question goes unanswered. Her kindness and attentiveness go above and beyond at every visit. All of our children adore her, and so do we. If you’re looking for a pediatrician who is not only highly skilled but also incredibly compassionate and invested in your child’s well-being, look no further. Dr. Wawrin is simply the best.

Dr Wawrin is the best! She has always been kind, listening with a smile all the silly questions from new parents, giving honest advice, not rushing the visits. She is the reason we picked this Weill Cornell Medicine location on Jackson Ave, Long Island City.

Dr Nicolina is one of most amazing Doctor I would trust for my little one. From day and even now the love and patience she shows towards her patients is so amazing. She takes so much time to answer all questions patiently and her office is so prompt in always replying back to all my questions. I would highly recommend Dr Nicolina.

I am deeply frustrated with my recent experience with Dr. Wawrin. My son was feeling sick and since our regular doctor was unavailable, we saw her instead for care. After receiving care instructions, the doctor administered unnecessary COVID and flu tests which lead to a staggering $520 charge. I was not informed beforehand of the costs of this test. When I contacted the billing department and patient services to resolve the issue, I received no helpful assistance. Even with insurance, I was left to deal with the unfair charges on my own with no clear explanation or resolution. Given the unnecessary testing, lack of transparency and poor customer service, I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. If you value clear communication and responsible care for your child, I strongly suggest seeking a different pediatrician.
