Ate exclusively the shao kao (barbecue) and it was amazing. A friend originally from Beijing said it's just as good as what he had in China. My favorites were the lamb, beef and octopus but everything was good with their spice mix.

Don’t let the name（串） fool you—while they serve skewers, the Iron Pot Stew (铁锅炖) and the Guo Bao Rou (锅包肉) are the true stars here. Hands down the best 锅包肉 I’ve ever had. Most versions use a thin batter that turns into a soggy, "wet hair" mess once the sauce hits the pork, but not here. The batter is thick, airy, and structured, almost reminiscent of a Tempura but different. It stays voluminous and crunchy rather than collapsing or turning into a sticky, chewy mass. The Sauce is also perfectly balanced and light. It coats the pork without being cloying, allowing that "shatteringly crisp" crust to shine. It’s a texture masterclass. 锅包肉 GOAT. Beef Tendon Iron Pot Stew: We shared this among four people and the portion was massive. It’s rich, deeply comforting, and perfect for a group. The Skewers: At $7.99 for 10, they are a great value. They are "bite-sized" (on the smaller side), so treat them more like a side snack. Verdict: Service is standard, but the food is elite. If you appreciate a 锅包肉 Guo Bao Rou that stays crispy and "alive" on the plate, this is your spot. 5/5 stars.

It is a great place for friends to go! And it has the authentic flavor😋 My friends and me have gone there for three times so I definitely recommend this restaurant! Their server’s attitude is so nice!

Authentic northeastern Chinese food in an unassuming basement restaurant. The skewers are well flavored and with quality ingredients, especially the pig trotters and intestines. Would also recommend the tofu with eggs and grilled Chinese chives.

Authentic and satisfying Dongbei comfort food! The dumplings were juicy and handmade, the skewers were full of flavor with a great variety (lamb, tofu skin, tripe — all seasoned with classic cumin and chili), and the sour cabbage pork hotpot was warm and comforting. We also loved the cold noodles with cucumber and kimchi, plus tasty sides like stir-fried napa cabbage and grilled garlic chives. Everything tasted just like a hearty homemade meal from my home city
