Today I had my first appointment with Dr.Nicole Bell at Women for Women OBGYN: a 5 star experience. I’m very pleased with the level of attention she provided me during my annual check up. Any questions or concerns were not overlooked but instead addressed with kindness and grace. Her medical assistant Denise was loving and informative: they both walked me through breaths during my exam : the staff here is great, I feel safe and sound.

Let's start with: I've been a patient at this practice since I was a teenager - and I am now 40. I've been seen by many practitioners over the years (Doctors and NPs included), however, this review highlights the care that I've specifically been receiving from Dr. Nicole Smizer over the last 4 years. Dr. Smizer is funny, patient, attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly driven. If you have a problem, she will take the time to listen, understand, thoroughly answer your questions, and work with you towards a solution/treatment plan. She splits her time between WFW and the nearby hospital, so in working with a wide variety of patients and situations, I can see why her bedside manner is so incredible... she's always just the sweetest person ever; I always feel heard, supported and confident when I leave the office. I experienced a small stroke in 2022 and needed to get off the pill and go onto non-hormonal birth control. The copper IUD I went on caused a side effect of heavy bleeding, which resulted in me becoming iron deficient anemic over time. I wasn't able to make an in-person appointment when my symptoms got really bad (I live in Brooklyn), so Dr. Smizer offered a virtual care visit (video call) to discuss my options.. I needed to receive 4 rounds of iron IV infusions (via my hematologist) and to go onto a different IUD (Mirena). The scheduling team was flexible with my work hours (I also work in Brooklyn) and made accommodations where they could; the prescription department worked with my insurance to get my new IUD fully covered and expedited ordering a replacement; and Dr. Smizer scheduled a sonogram so we could verify the IUD placement was correct once "installed" - and there she found a few cysts AND fibroids. All of this care was received without delay, hesitation, or issues with communication. Ps, the cysts and fibroids have since been on my chart and we keep an eye on them (they are very small).. so if ever there's a change in bleeding/discomfort in my pelvic region, we know to investigate. Dr. Smizer has always gone above and beyond, and I am so incredibly thankful for the quality of care that I've received from her, and overall from the care team at Women for Women. No complaints here, only love and appreciation🙏🏾Thank you SO MUCH, ladies!

I started going to this office for over 10 years now, and I love it. Dr. Smizer is my primary doctor but all of the doctors including NP Amy Newman is absolutely the best. I had my first baby who is now 8 years old and Dr. Smizer was my doctor, everytime I called with a concern she called me right back. When u are pregnant u must see all of their doctors just in case your primary doctor is not on duty wen you go into labor. They want the patient and doctor to be familiar with one another, and thankfully they do that because wen I had my child, Dr. Smizer was not at the hospital/office and I had to have an emergency C-section and the doctor who was at the hospital that day knew me and I knew her from seeing her at the doctor's office. Ladies keep up the good work.

Really dissatisfied with the organization of appointments, EVERY SINGLE appointment I was always told they are behind time and I am sitting waiting for at least an hour before my actual appointment time ! Getting onto them is always a task via over the phone and/or their portal … several attempts are to be made before someone reaches out.

Honestly I started with Dr.Bell when I was 17 and was switched to Dr.Duncan afterwards which are two great doctors. I’m well in my mid 30’s I should tell you at very minimum I try to deal with this office due to staff especially the office manager. I understand there’s appointments well out months away for annual just to get an evening however I decided to switch office time been overdue due to staff attitude. If the doctors including Amy Newman np goes to another location I’m definitely going. However it’s not even the accommodating factor it’s the fact how the office handle it with their attitude this hasn’t been the only dismissive attitude I encountered. I will be speaking with my insurance company making a complaint if you do experience something negative and feel unheard just talk to your insurance company to see if it’s an issue you could complain about.
