I brought my mom to see Dr. Pearl for her hip pain. Dr. Pearl performed a total hip replacement. She was walking without a cane in 4 weeks and able to squat in 6 weeks. She had her other hip done by a different doctor 4 years ago and her recovery was almost 6 months with a huge scar and ongoing pain. With this doctor the scar is in the front and is half the size of the other one. This difference is truly amazing. Dr. Richard Pearl is one of the best doctors i’ve seen

Excellent experience with this doctor. Dr. Turtel saw my daughter for a sports injury of the knee. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt confident in the treatment plan. My daughter was back to gymnastics in no time. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the office ran on time.

From the windows views to the walls. There's something about this place. It doesn'tt make me feel small. The offices are very big and peaceful. Waiting in the waiting rooms, I felt unstressed and tranquil. The calming atmosphere, the speedy routines, and the many thanks to the receptionists that made me this knee checkup... not another dreadful visit to the doctors.

Came in here June 2025 to see dr. Andrew turtel for ongoing issue in left ankle in hopes of a surgical option. Preferably a surgery that would target or focus more on my issue. Post traumatic Arthritis stretched ATFL and Talonavicular bone spur with partial cartiliage loss. Despite going in detail about it and mentioning Ankle instability and bringing in past MRI and X ray results in which the issues are mentioned. He is quick to bring up and focus on my flat feet while ignoring the elephant in the room my left ankle issue. tells me that I need a complete foot reconstruction seeing that I am flat footed. Even though flat feet arent the reason I came to the office. Seemingly, he only sees the flat feet and nothing else matters. I dont see how correcting foot structure would help my ankle issue when its the ankle issue that needs to be prioritized before there is any discussion of treating the flat feet. Even if the flat feet is a factor. Thats on top of the long recovery required as well as potential especially major complications as well not resolving current ankle. When you factoring in all every reason not to or almost evert then there is no reason left or almost none to even do it. No I am not worried about the flat feet. Thats something I am prepared to live with the rest of life. Theres no way I am doing a complete foot reconstruction. Thats playing with fire. So. I went to NY orthopedics practice and i had ankle athroscopy on january 27, 2026 with brostrom repair of ATFL with karlsson techique applied with debridement in which a few bone spurs were trimmed. Against the advice of Dr. Andrew Turtel. Andrew Turtel and ocean orthopedics!!. Do better!!

The doctor I dealt with was very nice, however the practice is completely overbooked. There is little time with patients. When I scheduled a follow up appointment they messed up the rescheduling. When I asked the facility to forward my X-Rays to another doctor they did not, despite ample notice, which caused me to have to get another set of X-Rays. Most of the time I was dealing with a receptionist who wasn’t even in the office I was visiting and who seemed very overwhelmed by the fact that she was running 5 different locations. I’m not sure what other offices she was managing, but I would try to avoid those in the future as well.
