I have brought groups of NYC high school students here 1x a year for 20+ years to interact with the senior citizens. This place is amazing! The staff is welcoming, and the experience enriches my students and the seniors.

🇺🇸 🎁 ⛄ 🎄 🎃Happy Holidays 🎄 ⛄ 🎁 🎃2019.
The Open Door Senior Citizen Center located at 168 Grand Street which is otherwise known as The 240 Center Street in the immediate area north of Little Italy.
The senior center is quite clean, neat and orderly.
They offer a few hobby classes for the seniors to learn, and some classes will have a fee to join, and if needed, you will have to purchase some items that are needed for the classes. They have a few activities for the seniors to partake in, again some activities will require a fee and materials needed to partake.
The building itself is awesome to say the least, It was the NYPD HEADQUARTERS from 1909. Grand and magnificent from the Renaissance Era.
