They have what you need for less. My old frame with the newish lenses broke in two. I wanted to find another frame that would fit exactly as they are progressives, and I wanted to love the frame, and I wanted it to be inexpensive. I got my wish! I was in and out in ~12 minutes.

(btw I didn’t see the doctor for an eye exam since I knew my Rx but they have one there if you need). Service is so professional, kind, and EASY. They make sure you’re happy with fit, cleanliness and vision before checking out. Am planning to return with all my frames in the future! Thank you so much!

I searched online for days for a local optical store that provided same day prescription lens replacement for a really bad scuffed and cloudy lens (FYI do not listen to YouTube re: quick at home quick fixes, toothpaste, baking soda etc. it actually made it even worse!). Anyhow, after much search I found this place and the reviews were amazing, so why not. They did not disappoint!! The staff here were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain things in detail, which I really appreciate. They were able to replace my lens in less than 30 minutes, while I waited for my son to have his eye exam done. Very professional and courteous, and affordable! I would highly recommend!! Just make sure you got to 116 Mott street (at Hester street) we almost went to the wrong place a few blocks back because there store is also called Optical 88.

I’ve been going to optical 88 for years… I think I started back in 2009 or 2010? I had them put in lenses for me for a frame I got from fabulous Fannie’s. I fell in love with the shape and I’ve had them frame my future pairs for me since. They’re super nice, helpful and fast. I’ve also had my eye exam there as well. That was back in the 2010s though, but my eyes haven’t really changed since except for the dreaded presbyopia. I highly recommend optical 88 for all your glasses needs. Even my wife got hers for our wedding there as well. That’s how great this place is.
