Painting with a Twist

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Painting with a Twist in Forest Hills! We attended their Galentine’s Bingo celebration and what this beautiful family has built is so special. The Forest Hills location is family owned and operated, and you can feel that warmth the second you walk in. Felecia, the owner, is welcoming and kind. Kumar, her husband, was our instructor and made painting feel fun and completely approachable. Their daughter Sasha hosted the bingo portion of the night and was such a natural, engaging, funny, and organized. And yes, bingo while painting! Three rounds. Three prizes! Music across all genres so everyone felt included. The vibe was incredible. Every background was represented in that room, Black, Indian, Latin, White, Asian, and it truly felt like community. Check in was seamless. They were communicative and accommodating from start to finish. Parking was easy. The price was fair. The studio is the perfect distance from home. It just felt easy in the best way. What impressed me most is that this family opened this business, survived Covid, and recently expanded to Baldwin. That says everything about their work ethic and the experience they provide. I had never experienced anything like this before. It was not just painting. It was connection, laughter, music, and real hospitality. My neighbor Hannah and I had the best time. We are already planning our second visit! Maybe another girls night, maybe a couples night, maybe date night. Either way, we are coming back and bringing neighbors and loved ones with us. Support this family. You will not regret it. 💖✨

Had an amazing time painting here. Kumar is a great instructor: patient, clear, and really takes his time explaining. My first visit was a birthday session in December, and I loved it so much I came back in January with friends. The little game we play in the middle is a perfect icebreaker, and I love that you can bring snacks and even sip hot chocolate while you paint. Overall, a super fun and welcoming spot. Highly recommend!

Kumar was an amazing host. Kumar was personable, friendly and accommodating. He interacted with the painters and was patient with everyone yet quick at the same time. Please attend a night and support your local business. I had a great time. It set of the year of exploring different creative outlets to aid me out of the winter blues. Thank you for a great night.

Fun ladies night out! We brought in our own food, drinks were available for purchase, and the music was pumping! Kumar was a great and entertaining instructor, giving us step by step instructions - everyone did such an amazing job with their paintings. Highly recommend and I would definitely go again!

What an incredible experience! I was not expecting to have as much fun as I did. Kumar was a warm host and terrific instructor. He made the whole experience fun and easy. He encouraged originality so everyone's paintings turned out beautifully unique in their own way. The team game we played midway through was a nice added touch as well. Highly recommend this place for singles, date nights and parties. I took the bestie for her birthday and she loved every minute.
