We came here for lunch with a friend and ordered chicken with broccoli along with a few other dishes, everything was really good. They also brought out a complimentary cabbage salad, which we loved so much we asked for more. The waiter, an older gentleman, was incredibly friendly and happy to bring us another serving. and they also had tea on the house! those little things mean alot ! The whole place has that old school, classic restaurant feel. Highly recommend.- we were the 2 blond ladies

We LOVED our experience and highly recommend. We were blown away with the most amazing Chinese meal we’ve ever experienced. First, the wine we picked was well priced at $40/bottle and awesome—but that’s not the star of the show, obviously… the Peking duck was insane. Wow!! It was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. We also ordered hot and sour soup, spring rolls, beef/broccoli, and garlic shrimp. Every dish was wonderful. Outstanding portion sizes and flavor and fresh ingredients. The service was top notch as they carved our duck table side and hand rolled our duck pancakes! Everybody demonstrated pride in their work—you could tell that they care that you enjoy your experience and that they love what they do. I called four people from the table and told them we have to go here. Five stars! Can’t wait to go back!

Went here tonight for a friend’s bday. Masterclass in Peking duck. It was beautifully cut and served. Everyone loved it. The other dishes are also excellent. Probably the best Chinese food in midtown

I went here 12/13, and won't go back. I am sick of the rude manager, there since around 2002 he said. He doesn't smile and acts like he despises people. I went here in December 1989 and once every couple of years until 2011, and maybe twice since. I always liked their Peking Duck but preferred it at a place on 2nd around 89th (no longer there). This time, I asked to keep the duck carcus at the table, to see if there was more meat on it, and found a very little on the wings, but none anywhere else. They truly do get it all off for you in the medallions. Online I read the neck was good, so I tried to eat it, but it was all cartilage. The Bean Curd Home Style wasn't special. I also don't like that their recommended tip percentages are calculated on the after-tax portion, and, that the men's bathroom is small and the door is always open. One can get crispy duck skin, meat, and that sweet duck sauce anywhere nowadays, and I'll go elsewhere.

Avoid this place. You are not getting Beijing duck here. What you get is 山东卷饼/burrito. see how big crepe is. The duck tastes horrible. And they serve fortune cookies at the end. It is definitely not an authentic Chinese restaurant.
