Fawaaz is the best! He helped me figure out my betta’s issues with fin rot and also how to get the algae in my tank down with a nerite snail. Now I have a new snail buddy and am working on making my beautiful betta healthy again. He truly listens and problem solves with you. It’s clear he knows a lot about fish, and really cares about them, which I really appreciate!

I must say the staff here are friendly, patient, and professional. However, many shelves were empty. I'm not sure whether the items were sold out or not, but the store looked quite bare and almost as if it were about to close down, which slightly discouraged me from shopping further.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Petco keeps declining everyday! Empty shelves... which not so bad BUT If I am placing an online order, at a minimum PLEASE CARRY the items you are showing you have in STOCK! IF NOT- UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!!! Is that SO HARD to do?? This is the 5th time I've ordered, and either 75% of my items get cancelled just because you don't have them in stock, or DoorDash steals the order, or, as it happened last night! I ordered at 3PM so my food could be delivered between 6-8pm... I am still WAITING!!!! I called, gave my name and salesperson kept asking my name again despite me asking 2 times if it was EASIER to give him my order # instead.....NO! he didn't bother! instead he said my order was picked up and I should be receiving it before 9PM!!!!! without checking my order number and I am still WAITING! If you don't have anything to sell online or the proper system structure to receive and dispatch orders, WHY in the world do you keep taking people's money while PETS go hungry while waiting for an order that WILL NEVER ARRIVE???

This is my second time bringing my dog here for a haircut and grooming. The first time was a great experience and it's also very close to my home. I also buy my dog's food here. But I won't be coming back after this time. I clearly stated that I don't like the dog's fur to be cut too short. I need to keep the dog's ears, limbs and tail long. Its face should be round. Because the first time they spent over three hours and I got the look I wanted for my dog. But this time they only spent a little over an hour. When I came back to see it, I was really shocked by how ugly it looked. It was nothing like what I wanted. The fur on its legs was cut in a mess and I even saw a cut inside its ear when I got home. I was really furious.

I’ve given this location multiple chances, and each visit confirmed why I’ll never shop at Petco again. A few days before a holiday, I witnessed an employee at the College Point location speak extremely rudely to another customer over a shopping cart that was sitting at the front of the store. The employee accused him of taking “her cart,” told him to put everything back, and spoke to him with unnecessary attitude the entire time. It was uncomfortable to watch and completely unprofessional. When it was my turn at the register, the same employee rushed me aggressively, saying, “Put in your number, hurry up, you see I have a line behind you.” That tone is unacceptable. Customers should not be spoken to like that. I later reported this incident to the manager, who told me directly that this was not the first complaint about this employee and that she would “take care of it.” Clearly, nothing changed. Shortly after, I had another issue. I purchased a bag of Purina Pro dog food from the Rego Park location (which has always been great), but the food had bugs inside. Since I was already at the College Point location, I attempted to return it there, not knowing it had to be returned to the original store. One employee was polite and helpful, but the same problematic employee immediately jumped in with an attitude, cut him off, and ran to the manager while making negative comments about me. When I told her she needed to stop being disrespectful and stop speaking to customers that way, she approached me aggressively, got into my personal space, and used her hands in an inappropriate manner. I had to tell her to back up. Management stood by and did nothing. I later contacted corporate customer service. I was told someone would follow up. No one ever did. What’s even more telling is that while I was at the Rego Park location, I overheard customers saying they had issues at the College Point store with a disrespectful employee and that they preferred shopping at Rego Park instead. This confirms the problem at College Point is known and ongoing. Between the repeated hostility, lack of accountability, and management ignoring serious behavior, I’m done. I will be canceling my membership and will never shop at Petco again. I don’t recommend this store to anyone. You can get dog food from Chewy and toys from Amazon for less, without being treated poorly. There is absolutely no reason to shop here.
