I begin every day with a cup of Pilot Pete's. It is simply the best coffee in town. Both my Elmhurst home and office are stocked with World Blend beans. Beyond the A+ beverages and treats, Pete and Haley have become friends in the neighborhood. I look forward to our multiple-time-a-week exchanges!

Service is always great and quick, drinks are delicious, and the ability to get cocoa or latte flights is amazing! They have some bakery options to choose from, and with so many drink flavors, there is something for everyone to choose from. Counter seating across the register or 2 two-person high tops in the Metra waiting area.
Yup the reviews did not lie! Love the coffee and yes owned by some awesome people. Very nice and patient with my questions as I was a newbie there. Hubby got coconut cream and I got the caramel cloud. Both were delicious!

On a quiet Saturday morning in downtown Elmhurst, I stumbled upon this unexpectedly lively coffee shop right on the Metra station—an unlikely location for what locals call the best coffee in town. The place was packed, buzzing with warmth and community. Customers showed genuine affection for Pete, making it feel like a neighborhood staple. And the coffee? Absolutely amazing. A hidden gem worth the stop.
My mom and I both ordered a small hot Americano (decaf for my mom), and it was mediocre. I asked the barista beforehand the type of coffee roast they offer, so I didn't have high expectations since they said that they don't offer dark roast.
Plenty of seating and very loud when there trains around.
We appreciated the thoughtful quotes we received with the coffee :)
