PJM Dance

Hands down the best studio in NYC! I tried a bunch of spots when I first started dancing and this one quickly became home base. The community is very welcoming, and I’ve learned so much from the amazing instructors. They offer classes for different levels so give it a shot no matter where you are on your dance journey!

PJM offers such a great environment for dancers to grow. All the teachers are extremely hardworking and passionate. Mini and Peter are amazing instructors — both highly skilled and very attentive to every student. Their classes are always fun, challenging, and full of good vibes. Highly recommend PJM to anyone who loves dancing!

This studio is such a blessing to the NYC dance community. Accommodating dancers from absolute beginner level to advanced, as well as styles from hip hop, jazz funk, waacking and more, there is something for everyone. The teachers are carefully curated by the management of the studio, which means you are truly getting the best / right teachers for the styles. Classes run whether there is only one person signed up or class is sold out, and this consistency is rare to find anywhere, especially NYC. For anyone new to the studio, I highly recommend you read the sign up notes online as well as your confirmation email so that you make your payments correctly to secure your spot. Some classes are super popular (because, like I said, they are amazing!) so without sending payment by Zelle or Venmo before class, you could lose your spot if there is a waitlist. If something is unclear in the registration process, the studio management is super responsive over email and even Instagram DM, and they have detailed instructions on their website / socials as well!

If you want a studio that truly cares about every single one of their students, then PJM is right for you. I have gone to Peter’s dance class a long time ago while he was still running Lollipop. Instructors Peter and Mini are wonderful, caring, and supportive. There’s zero room for fabrications & lies here to try to taint their business because I’ve seen and have followed them for so long and they’ve always been so passionate about dance. When you go to a school class, a gym, or even a store, you need to abide by their policies. So what makes a dance studio any different? SMH Oh, and the instructors teach the movements with detail. They’ve been doing this for a long time and know what they’re doing. Go here if you enjoy dance instructors that actually care about you and make dancing fun 😊 Also Peter’s choreos are all soooo good it’s super fun so definitely try his class!!

Every instructor is SO talented and full of style!!! They are also the nicest human beings and create such a fun environment to dance in. I have enjoyed every single class I went to even when I messed up the choreo. So lucky to have this place in LIC 💅🪩
