Being part of this school has been a phenomenal experience. Not only did I learn Practical Wing Chun at its finest, I also gained a lovely community and made many friends. Sifu William Kwok has been an inspiring mentor. He is generous with his depth of knowledge, his patience, his understanding and his assistance. His method is very approachable, methodical, educational and also funny. You can tell that he really cares about us, his students, and wants to help us become the best version of ourselves. Being part of the Wan Kam Leung Practical Wing Chun has truly shaped my life in New York. I highly recommend this school!

Wan Kam Leung Practical Wing Chun is a modern martial arts school located on Manhattan's upper east side (E. 61st Street). The school was founded and is operated by Master William Kwok (Kwok Wai Yin), a highly skilled, attentive, patient and knowledgable martial artist and human being. Kwok Sifu is a direct student of GM Wan Kam Leung of Hong Kong. I have been a member of the school for about 8 years and feel myself very fortunate indeed to have found it. It is a fabulous place to learn Kung Fu, to develop your mind and body, experience a bit of Chinese culture, met new people and make new friends, and learn how the lessons of Kung Fu translate to life. It is located in the heart of one of the most vibrant cities in the world. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, steeped in traditional martial art culture, and yet quite modern in its philosophy and approach. The school is open 6 days/week, visitors are welcome (call first for current pandemic related rules), accepts students of all ages, no prior martial arts experience is required, offers a trial lesson, and has an amazing group of students, instructors, and disciples who are happy to share their knowledge with you. If you are in town, or in the neighborhood, I highly recommend a visit. I love this place!! You will too.

This school is an amazing martial arts school. The martial arts being taught, Wan Kam Leung Practical Wing Chun, is a very practical martial arts with great depth. The students there are all very nice and welcoming. The instructor, Sifu William Kwok, is very attentive to details. I have been practicing this amazing martial arts for 3 years and it was a really rewarding journey.

As a student since Feb '23, this is one of the best atmospheres I've worked in to learn the art of Wing Chun Kung Fu. Sifu William Kwok is an incredible role model to both practice with and learn from. Love the PWC family!

I was in New York for a few days because my wife had a work conference so I decided to pay Sifu William Kwok a visit at his school. I was immediately welcomed with open arms to join in on a couple of classes, with payment of course. As an instructor visiting another school I was treated with the utmost respect by Sifu Kwok and his students. The training atmosphere and environment was very good and his students were very skillful. The school is clean, tidy and classes were very organized. I would recommend 100% anyone looking to learn Kungfu to join the school there!
