Sheldon is the truth! I came to him in 2017 with less than a year of piano experience from when I was a kid, and we are still going strong. Trying to learn piano while balancing a job and a life—it's not easy to find a teacher who gets it. Sheldon's got great energy and always seems to know when to provide support or drop a new exercise to keep practice fun or send me a song on youtube to challenge me to think about music in new, creative, thoughtful ways. Over the last few years we've worked through a beginner's book, on music theory, scales and chords, jam sessions and improv, blues, jazz, a couple of popular songs I wanted to learn, songwriting, and a little bit of classical. He's a great piano teacher and an even better human. My wife even bakes him cookies every Christmas. Five out of five, for sure.
