Queens Adult Learning Center

I really enjoy studying at Queens Adult Learning Centre. The atmosphere is very friendly and supportive, and I feel that I’m learning a lot every day. My teachers, JoAnna Gormley and Jyoti Bhatia, are amazing — they explain everything clearly, always encourage us, and make every class interesting and engaging. Thanks to them, I’ve become much more confident in my English. I also want to thank my case manager, Jacky, for being so helpful and caring. She always answers my questions and supports me whenever I need assistance. I’m very happy to be a student at this school and truly appreciate all the teachers and staff for their dedication and kindness.

I got my GED thanks to this school and I have been taking English classes before and after. Thanks to that, I could apply and be accepted into college. My teachers Tim and Ingrid, Miss. Jackie, all the administrative staff are just amazing ❣️ they do everything with a lot of love, and I'm very grateful for everything they have helped me to reach. This is one of the best decisions I've ever made.

A school I will never forget, with wonderful, loving people. I love them because they are like that. I wish them a happy year. Merry Christmas 🫶

I feel so grateful to have been in Jyoti’s classroom. She has been incredibly supportive, patient, and encouraging every step of the way. Her dedication to helping each student succeed truly shows, and she makes learning feel inspiring and achievable. It has been an absolute honor to learn from her, and I deeply appreciate the time, effort, and kindness she has poured into our class. During the summer, the classrooms did get very hot, so I think improving the air conditioning would make a big difference. The bathrooms could also be a bit cleaner. I didn’t speak much with the staff, but that was okay because my focus was on my studies, and my experience with my teacher was truly wonderful.
