We had issues with the boiler not working in the winter when we needed it most, and our previous plumber made three service visits, changed two parts, and messed with the wiring, but still the issues with uneven or no heating, and the boiler not functioning to optimal performance were unresolved. Then, I called Ranshaw and they were great from beginning to end. They assessed the issue, quoted an estimate, and were able to come the next day to do the work. Yes the price is definitely more than other quotes, but Bill from Ranshaw was awesome and resolved four issues that my previous plumber had made in order to have the boiler functioning optimally. I didn't regret calling them and would definitely recommend them to family and friends. Bill definitely knew his stuff and was friendly and courteous. It made me feel confident that I found a reliable company for any future issues with home plumbing and heating. I called Ranshaw and after explaining g my problem and sending a picture they assured me that they could easily fix the problem. They called before they showed up and Bill was very respectful and knowledgeable. He explained what was needed to be done and the cost and did not start work until I had agreed. He worked neatly and quickly and when he was done he explained everything that he did any why. Once he left he was very curious and the space he worked in was clean. I would call them again without question. They came when they said they would, worked fast and worked cleanly. Professional outfit.

We contacted Ranshaw after seeing their strong reviews and hoped for a good experience. Our call was regarding a drip and a knocking sound coming from one of our radiators. After the issue was diagnosed, we were told the radiator valve needed to be replaced. The technicians, Albert and Michael, were polite and professional. My wife asked for an estimate, and Albert mentioned he needed to step out to his truck to prepare it. When he returned a few minutes later, we were quoted $746 for the valve replacement. We were also charged a $125 service fee, which would be deducted only if we proceeded with the repair. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the quote. The price was over three times higher than other estimates we received for the exact same work. Paying the $125 service fee and being expected to spend over $600 more for a simple valve replacement felt unreasonable and left us dissatisfied overall.
