Easy to schedule. Very accommodating staff. Location was easy to find. Doctor LUI, HUI-JU is the best
I am very disappointed with my experience at Rendr Clinic and Dr. Hui-ju Liu. Although the clinic received my biopsy results, they did not ask for the detailed lab report despite multiple requests in my end. I had an appointment with Dr. Hui-Ju Liu this morning, expecting to review the complete results and get more clarity about my condition. Unfortunately, Dr. Liu did not seem prepared, and when I asked if she could contact the lab to obtain the full report, she declined and told me to call myself. After calling the lab on my own, I was informed that they can only release the report to the doctor, not the patient, which made the situation even more frustrating. I felt that this step should have been handled by the provider before the appointment. Liu told me that the full lab report isn't generated from a biopsy but only from surgery, which I later found to be incorrect. This made me doubt her knowledge on a matter that should be very basic for a doctor. Overall, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and my time was not valued. I did not feel supported in navigating my results or getting the information I needed. Based on my experience, I would recommend others consider a different primary doctor if they are looking for more attentive care and clearer communication.
One of their doctors have been my PCP for years. The doctor himself is fine, no complaints. After new management Rendr, it's become terrible. My insurance covers annual physical at no charge. I went recently and after the physical, the receptionist told me to make an appointment for follow up results. Sounded normal, thought nothing of it. I've done these follow ups after a physical in the past and was never charged. They always said it's part of the physical coverage. I go back the following week, doctor reads me my results literally off the same paper they gave me but through his screen. This took all of 10 minutes, probably less. Everything is normal, I'm declared healthy. A month later, I get a bill for 115$ and am flabbergasted. I call the MD office and they tell me it's' for the follow up visit for the physical results. I tell them it's ridiculous to make me come in for results and have the doctor read them to me off the screen and then charge me 115$ for it when they could've just uploaded it to a health portal. They tell me to call the Rendr billing dpt. I call the Rendr billing Dpt. and they confirm the bill was for the follow up billed as an office visit and that I have to pay that balance. I call my insurance and they tell me they billed the follow up as a separate office visit and there was nothing they could do on their end. Overall terrible experience. I will not be coming back. If you decide to go to them still after reading this review, tell them to upload your results to a health portal. There is absolutely NO REASON to go back for a 115$ follow up if you are healthy and just wanted to get an annual check up. 115$ is insane to charge for a follow up for the doctor to read you the results. They literally give you the same paper during that visit if you ask for it. Read it yourself and save 115$. If you are older and under Medicaid, it's probably no big deal. They charge Medicaid for it. But if you are part of the younger generation with normal health care benefits, do NOT go to them. I honestly feel scammed. What was supposed to be a covered free annual physical suddenly took 115$ out of my wallet. Charging a follow up under the guise of an OFFICE VISIT is shady and terrible business practice. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
While I understand that this doctor’s office is very busy, I’ve found that appointment wait times are consistently long, often exceeding an hour past the scheduled time. While this is frustrating, what I find more annoying is the difficulty in renewing prescriptions. Each time my prescription is up for renewal, my pharmacy reaches out, but the request often goes unanswered initially. When I follow up directly with the office, the renewal is sometimes processed after that initial call, but other times it requires multiple additional calls before someone processes it. I hesitate to leave a negative review because I recognize they are super busy, but I do believe that prescription renewals are things that are relatively simple and should not require repeated follow-ups. If a renewal needs further review—such as additional tests—it would be much more helpful if this were communicated upfront, allowing patients to address any requirements without unnecessary delays and requiring them to call back repeatedly.
The ladies working at the front desk are super unprofessional. We had scheduled an appointment for this visit but they had forgot to put it in the system last time and we ended up waiting for 2 hours today. Once we arrived we told them we had a scheduled appointment and the lady screamed at us to put our name down and to sit down and wait. This lady named Jenny, short hair and mismatched eyes, would give the wrong information to us and yelling at us to not bother her when we went to ask her a question about scheduling a follow up appointment. She was standing around laughing with her coworkers and when we went up to her she was like "Can't you see I'm working right now?! Wait a minute!" Never had seen such an unprofessional worker, especially at a doctor's office. In the past they had also dodged my phone calls, I know because when I called using a different phone they picked up immediately.
