River Japanese Cuisine - Flushing

Took my husband here for his birthday. It was during a weekday in the evening so it was perfect. We did not have to wait to be seated. We originally was going for sushi. We ended up ordering appetizers. We had the edamame,stuffed oysters, gyoza and fried calamari all delicious. For the edamame I would of liked more options on flavors but I wasn't disappointed. To eat we had Ramen which was delicious.

Came here with my family of four and had an amazing experience! The sushi was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with plenty of variety to choose from. The kitchen is impressively efficient – our orders came out quickly and perfectly prepared each time. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the meal. For an all-you-can-eat sushi spot, the quality is top-notch and the value is unbeatable. Highly recommend!

River Japanese Cuisine exceeded all expectations. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The sushi was top quality—melt-in-your-mouth kind of fresh—and the rolls were creative yet well-balanced. The service was attentive and warm, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The staff checked in at just the right times and made sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was clean, calm, and beautifully decorated—great for both casual dinners and special occasions. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine in Flushing. Can’t wait to come back!

I visited twice during my 4 night stay in the area. I found the servers to be exceptionally polite and helpful and the food very good for AYCE. Fish was very fresh and all dishes were very tasty. Ordering simple and fast with the tablet. I particularly liked the fact that special rolls come in 4 pieces, meaning you can try different rolls without getting too full. Overall a great experience, and nice atmosphere.

I chose this spot randomly for lunch on a Tuesday because I was violently craving sushi/sashimi and boy am I glad I did! The entrance is not wheelchair accessible but they do have a separate entrance to the building that had an elevator. (Elevator was on the fritz but we made it down) Our server also seated us and she was so sweet! Loved her energy. The AYCE option is absolutely worth the price! Love the tablet system because you can keep ordering and its sent straight to the kitchen. Everything was made fresh and the sushi was sooo good. Salmon was my fave! So flavorful and buttery. My 1 year old loved the sweet potato fries. Dessert options are also awesome; we had the oreo and banana tempura🤌🏼 10/10 recommend for fresh sushi/sashimi and a lovely atmosphere. Bonus: you get to meet Vegeta & Goku! ☺️
