This school is great. The instructors are highly skilled and experienced, ensuring a supportive environment for students, both adults and kids. Kids benefit from mental focus, discipline, and physical control while immersing themselves in the art of martial art. This dojo is an excellent choice for parents looking to introduce their children to karate/Jujutsu. It’s a place where kids can grow, learn, and become the better version of themselves.

We’re fairly new to Seibukan Dojo, but my entire family thinks it’s an amazing place, a sanctuary of learning, growth, and personal empowerment. It’s quite clear that all the dojo leaders are extremely passionate about the ages-old art of karate and what they’re imparting for students, which goes beyond basic skills to encompass moral development and what could someday be life-saving knowledge. It’s a pleasure to witness what happens in this space – it’s both calming and inspiring to be there. Highly recommended the dojo for students of all ages and abilities.

Excellent school! Great for beginners as well as already trained students! Very compassionate and knowledgeable world class instructors. Very welcoming. Family like vibe. Very safe. Suitable for any skill level, and any fitness level. I started at age 42 and with a knee injury, and I’m a much more skilled fighter after just a short time. Learned to defend myself in real life situations the way my body was without hurting myself or risking an injury. I’m very grateful to have found this school. No hidden fees or endless supplies to buy, no shaming or beatings. Just helpful, caring and dedicated instructors and students all helping each other improve. This place is a treasure, offering martial arts skills taught only in a few places in the entire world!

This dojo is a hidden gem in Forest Hills. I have not seen such quality of instruction and level of commitment anywhere else in the neighborhood. They combine teaching very practical self-defense techniques with respecting the tradition. People of all ages, body types, and fitness levels are welcome and can learn which techniques would work specifically for them. There are 4 classes per week at a pretty low flat rate, which includes karate, Japanese jiu-jitsu, and traditional weapons. They also do not charge for promotions, which is quite unusual. As a parent with a busy schedule I appreciate that kids and adults classes are scheduled back-to-back. I love how much discipline and respect the children classes have, and how the kids are motivated to work hard. I definitely recommend walking in to take a look.
